(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held events in the Châtelet district and Belleville neighborhood of Paris on May 23 and 26, 2026.

Despite the heat in Châtelet on May 23, practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises and raised awareness of the ongoing persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). People were moved by the practitioners’ dedication, and many signed a petition calling for an end to the persecution and the CCP’s human rights abuses.

Passersby in Châtelet Commend Practitioners

Jean-Pierre works in sales. In his spare time, he produces short videos about geopolitics and history and publishes them on social media. He lives in the Châtelet district and often sees practitioners but has been too busy to stop and chat. He finally learned more at the event, including about the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting in China.

Referring to the persecution, he said, “This is exactly the topic of the video that I planned to film today. This is a disaster! I knew that there were despicable things happening there, but I didn’t expect them to be so terrible. Everyone should be able to live freely. Of course, the situations in different countries vary. We know that in some countries, things are more complicated. However, jailing those innocent people, forcibly extracting their organs, and killing them—this is an act of terror that absolutely shouldn’t happen!”

He said that, since China is one of the world’s superpowers, other countries ought to know about it. However, some governments have turned a blind eye. He said that this issue must be discussed.

He expressed his thanks for the information and said he would learn more. “I think what you’re doing is very important and must be done,” he said. “I cherish and respect those who dedicate themselves to public service. You must keep going!”

Marilyne works in the film industry as a producer and screenwriter. She used to live in Hong Kong and is aware that life in communist China is very difficult. She had tears in her eyes when she saw the display boards about the brutal persecution, as well as practitioners peacefully meditating and doing the exercises. She signed the petition calling for an end to forced organ harvesting and commented on how hardworking and kind the Chinese people are and that the persecution should be stopped.

She also said she wanted to learn Falun Gong and took down the address of the exercise site in Paris. She planned to purchase a copy of Zhuan Falun in French at the bookstore.

The practitioners’ event in Belleville on May 26 drew the attention of many tourists and locals. Some were interested in the exercises and asked for information about the local exercise site.

Pascal, a security officer, said this was the first time he had heard about Falun Gong and the persecution. He believes the CCP is a dictatorship that brainwashes people so they are easily controlled, but, he said, “Only God can control everything!”

Florence is an ergonomics expert. After signing the petition, she said, “Forced organ harvesting must not be tolerated and shouldn’t exist.” She hoped that this heinous crime would stop soon and encouraged practitioners to keep up their efforts.

Danielle, who works at a childcare, said that compassion is important in her job and forbearance allows us to be resilient in life. She was interested in the spiritual practice and the location of the exercise site.

Mr. Zheng is originally from China but has lived in France for years. “For China to become good, the Communist Party must be kicked out,” he said. “The morality of Chinese people is declining rapidly. It is no longer a country of etiquette and ancient customs because the Party despises traditional culture.

“Nowadays, many people in China curse the Party. This means that Chinese people are waking up.” He took some informational materials about Falun Gong, as well as a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party to share with his friends.
