(Minghui.org) I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner who has been practicing since 1996. I’m fortunate to have had Master’s compassionate protection through every step of my tempering journey of cultivation. I would like to share the following experiences as a way to express my deep gratitude to Master.
I started clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution in 1999. I was thrown into a detention center for telling people the truth about Falun Dafa. Several other practitioners were being persecuted in the same center. One day, a fellow practitioner couldn’t move one side of her body. She was in her 30s and had a quiet personality. She rarely talked with anyone, but occasionally talked with me and told me about her experiences.
The doctor in the detention center tried to give this practitioner an injection, but she refused. Several guards and a male doctor suddenly opened our cell door and attempted to force an injection on the practitioner. I blocked their way and said, “She has refused to have any injections. What kind of injection is it? Who knows whether it’s poisonous?”
The guards pushed me aside. Other practitioners joined me, saying, “You can’t force her if she hasn’t agreed to the injection.” Several inmates helped the guards pull us away. Dozens of people joined the tangled fight and commotion. It was a mess.
The guard in charge went to the surveillance room and shouted through the speaker, “Sit down! Everyone on the sitting board!” We eventually stopped the pushing and shoving and calmed down. The guards and the doctor left without administering the injection.
While all the inmates sat on the sitting board, I stood in front of them and said in a raised voice, “Do you know what happened? We were thrown into the detention center for practicing Falun Gong. We have been imprisoned for following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Can you imagine what type of government punishes good people? What kind of people are running the government? This practitioner and her husband were arrested just because they practice Falun Gong. Her husband was beaten to death straight away. She was interrogated while holding their two-year-old. They snatched her child, touched her body, and insulted her. She doesn’t even know where her child is. Can you imagine how devastating this has been for her and the level of stress she has had to go through?”
It was completely silent in the cell. A couple of inmates started sobbing. Then I looked up at the surveillance camera. I knew that the guards were watching us and had heard my words. I cried to the camera, “Have you told us what kind of injection it is? Did you get her consent? You are persecuting good people!”
No one mentioned any injections after that. The inmates changed their attitude toward us. They opened up and started talking with us. We told them about Falun Dafa. The guards changed their attitude too. They quit shouting at us. They discussed things with us if something involved us. The fellow practitioner gradually recovered by doing the Falun Dafa exercises. All the inmates witnessed her recovery and were amazed by the power of Falun Dafa.
After I was released from prison, I studied the Fa like a hungry child. I realized I had a mission to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa, so I hoped to find a job that would allow me to do so. But I was close to 50 and had lost my degree certificate after years of moving around during the persecution. How could I even find a job?
A new real estate company happened to be looking for a hiring manager. I talked to the owner of the company about my experience. He seemed enthusiastic. Without checking my degree certificate or ID, or asking me to fill out any forms, he hired me on the spot. I knew I found this job easily because my purpose for finding a job was to clarify the truth.
Because of the high turn-around with real estate jobs, we had to hire many employees. My company even hired two young people to help me make phone calls. I had to interview about a dozen applicants each day. Most of them were young people. For those we wouldn’t hire, I seized the opportunity to clarify the truth to them right away. For those we would hire, I clarified the truth to them after they started working for the company. Some of them showed great independent thinking, and I was able to talk to them in great detail. Some of them had many things they were confused about, so I had to try different approaches.
When I went to job fairs, my booth was usually surrounded by people all the time. I understood that their knowing sides must be eager to hear the truth. I asked them to fill out an application form and talked to them about Falun Dafa and why they should quit the communist organizations. A young woman whispered in my ear, “Auntie, it’s dangerous for you to talk about it here.” I replied with a smile, “Thank you for your concern! It’s nice of you!” Once I started clarifying the truth, I stopped thinking about anything else. Every day was rewarding. I usually helped about 10 people quit the communist organizations during an average day.
The new company didn’t have any policies or procedures. The owner of the company focused his energy on making money, not on management. I helped them establish policies and procedures little by little. When I noticed the employees had low morale, I made suggestions to my boss about holding some activities. I followed Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and treated all my colleagues kindly. Some new employees from other towns had few resources to start their new working lives, so I gave them some of my son’s nice clothes and some household items. I often brought them breakfast. Whenever our company bought us mooncakes and fruit, I gave my share to them.
The owner of our company praised my department at the year-end meeting for being the best. While I was working in this company, I had been detained for 10 days for filing a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. The owner didn’t question me at all and paid my full salary for those 10 days.
I eventually had to leave my home to avoid further persecution. When I told the business owner that I wouldn’t be able to continue working for him, he said, “I learned about Falun Gong when I visited other countries. You are all good people. How about you hide somewhere temporarily and come back any time? My company will always have a position for you.” I didn’t get a chance to work there again, but I’m thankful for my boss’s and colleagues’ understanding and am happy that they learned the truth about Falun Dafa.
I have been so blessed by Master over the past 30 years! My only way to thank Master is to cultivate myself diligently, treasure the precious time Master has secured through his suffering, save more sentient beings, and fulfill my mission!
