(Minghui.org) In recent months, I have notice that some media outlets and social media run by Dafa practitioners still exhibit varying degrees of dependence on political figures in the secular world.

On issues such as war and the Chinese Communist Party, they place excessive hope in the leaders of certain countries to take action against the Chinese Communist Party and its allies.

This isn’t the first time we’ve fallen into such a dependent mindset. In the early days of the persecution, the leader of the Chinese Communist Party at the time spoke favorably of Dafa, but Dafa disciples did not respond appropriately. Instead, we became dependent on him. Later, this led the leader to turn against and publicly slander Dafa. We should have learned this lesson long ago.

Some practitioners place great importance on the idea that a certain country’s leader is the “chosen one” and thus shower him with praise. But let’s not forget that we, too, are chosen ones. Indeed, we are Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period who bear even greater responsibilities and are entrusted with the mission of saving all people.

Political figures who do not practice cultivation are merely everyday people. They may even be controlled by evil factors and led astray because of Dafa disciples’ reliance on them.

Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period should clearly understand, realize, and be enlightened to the fact that we ourselves are the protagonists, that we play pivotal roles, and that the course of the world and the lives of ordinary people all revolve around Dafa. We must by no means allow our own attachments to cause ordinary people to be destroyed by the evil factors.
