(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Geng Caixia was arrested on July 8, 2026, by officers from Xijiatao Township Police Station. She is being held at the Tangshan City First Detention Center. Her lawyer visited her on July 27 and learned that her arrest had been approved.
Ms. Gao Hongwei and Ms. Lei Min were arrested in November 2025 for distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong. The police are preparing to submit their case to the procuratorate.
Ms. Qiu Xiuping, 70, was arrested by Gurao Town Police Station officers on July 27, 2026. They claimed they were closing a case from September 2023 in which Ms. Qiu was recorded by surveillance cameras distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She is being held in the Shantou City Detention Center.
Ms. Wang Ye was arrested by Daqing Police Station officers on July 20, 2026. They ransacked her home and have detained her ever since.
Mr. Liu Hongpu was arrested by Hongqi Police Station officers on July 25, 2026. He was given 15 days at the Panjin City Detention Center.
Mr. Wang Gaixian was followed by officers from Donggucheng Police Station when he mailed a letter with Falun Gong information on July 20, 2026. He was secretly filmed, then arrested and taken to the police station. The officers ransacked his home, confiscating Falun Gong books and 12,000 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong information printed on them.
While Mr. Wang was released around midnight, police chief Cao Yankun took him to the Guan County Detention Center the next day. During a required physical exam, he was diagnosed with extremely high blood pressure. He was also dizzy and disoriented, so the detention center denied him admission. The police released him but continued to monitor him daily.
Four officers from the Louzhangzi Town Police Station, including chief Zhu Dongsheng, deputy chief Zheng Xiusen, and officers Zhen Mingxin and Li Shuo, broke into Duan Wenying’s home around 9 p.m. on July 20, 2026. They searched the place and confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun. They also took photos and made audio recordings of Duan.
Mr. Du Guolin reported that he found a GPS tracker under his electric scooter in late July 2026. He suspected the police had put it there to track his movements.
Four officers from the Hutian Police Station broke into Ms. Bi Zhongmei’s home on the morning of July 27, 2026, and arrested her. They restrained her in a metal chair and handcuffed her behind her back during the interrogation. She was given 15 days of detention.
Because Ms. Bi refused to cooperate during the required physical exam, the police pepper-sprayed her. Her eyes, face, and arms felt as if they were burning. The police also bruised her arms. Due to her high blood pressure and and abnormally fast heart rate, the lockup refused to admit her, and she was released.
