(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

7. [Lechang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cao Liping Released from Prison
8. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
9. [Xinhuang County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
10. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Jinying and Mr. Han Fuyu Harassed

1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yan Jingqiu Sentenced

Ms. Yan Jingqiu was tried on July 29, 2026, and sentenced to a four and a half year prison term around August 6.

2. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Shouxiang’s Trial Scheduled

Ms. Zhang Shouxiang’s trial was scheduled for August 10, 2026, by the Zhucheng City Court.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Wu Xianli Faces Indictment

Ms. Wu Xianli was arrested at home on April 9, 2026, by officers from the Guandong Police Station, and community clerks. They seized her Falun Gong books, a notebook computer, and other belongings. She was interrogated at the police station and subjected to 15 days of detention.

After 15 days, instead of being released, she was given another 37 days at the Dongxihu First Detention Center. The police accused her of having Falun Gong books at home and being recorded by surveillance camera distributing Falun Gong flyers several times. The Gaoxin District Procuratorate issued an arrest warrant for her and later transferred the case to the Hongshan District Procuratorate.

4. Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zou Benxu Arrested

Mr. Zou Benxu was arrested on the evening of August 3, 2026, when he was distributing Falun Gong flyers.

5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Wang Liping, Ms. Jing Shuqin, and Ms. Lyu Guoqin were harassed at their respective homes on August 7, 2026, and had their photos taken without their consent by officers from the Hushitai Police Station.

6. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Hongpu Arrested

Mr. Liu Hongpu was arrested on July 25, 2026, and released on August 7.

7. [Lechang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cao Liping Released from Prison

Ms. Cao Liping was released from prison on July 14, 2026, after serving an 18-month term.

8. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Hu, an elderly woman; Zhan, first name and gender unknown; Xiaohua, nickname; and Ms. Xu Qingzhen were arrested on July 20, 2026. Mr. Cong, first name unknown, was harassed the same day by the officers.

Officers from the Yangming Police Station ransacked Ms. Xu’s home, confiscated her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, computers, and other belongings. She was released that evening.

9. [Xinhuang County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Mr. Hu Linhong and his wife, Ms. Liu Guiping, have been harassed since May 2026. They were photographed by village officials while they were working in the fields. The village officers also called their son and daughter between May and June, ordering them to persuade their father to renounce Falun Gong. Both refused to comply.

Mr. Xu Fuba was photographed without his consent by the village officials on June 15, 2026.

10. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xu Jinying and Mr. Han Fuyu Harassed

Ms. Xu Jinyin was harassed at home on July 19, 2026, by officers from the Wangwu Town Police Station. The same officers also harassed Mr. Han Fuyu at home two days later. The officers secretly video recorded the practitioners during the harassment.
