Sept. 17, 2026 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Germany

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from Germany, France, and Switzerland held an Information Day at Augustiner-Platz in Freiburg, Germany on September 12, 2026. Many people came out to enjoy the cool, fall weather and talked with practitioners.

People read the banners displayed at the Falun Gong booth and said they were concerned the persecution of the spiritual discipline by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) especially the atrocity of harvesting organs from practitioners while they are alive. Some said they previously heard about the CCP’s persecution from media and said it was disturbing. Many signed a petition calling to end the CCP’s persecution and organ harvesting.

People sign a petition to help stop the CCP’s atrocity of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners.

Sael, a retired teacher, came straight to the booth from the other side of the plaza. Pointing at the banner about organ harvesting, he said that he wished to sign the petition. He told a practitioner that he had been following the news about it, because he admired traditional Chinese culture, and he was saddened by many things, including the organ-harvesting, the Tiananmen Square Massacre, and issues in Tibet and Xinjiang.

Another local resident Mrs. Mueller, signed the petition after she read a flyer and said, “There are many terrible things in the world, but organ harvesting was the worst and is demonic. It must stop!”

Mr. and Mrs. Leya said that it was unacceptable to steal others’ organs to prolong lives, and that selling organs for profit is murder. They were astonished to hear that the victims kept expanding from Falun Gong to political dissidents in Tibet and Xinjiang, and now even children. They signed the petition.

Mrs. Leya said that she had heard about the organ harvesting in China, but didn’t know it was so bad. “Every one of us should do something stop it. Telling the world will bring a change in the right direction,” she said.

A young man from Hong Kong said there used to be Falun Gong activities there, but there aren’t any now. He felt disturbed to see more and more people moving out of Hong Kong, and an increasing number of people with “special backgrounds” moving to Hong Kong from the mainland. He also said that the textbooks in schools were changed, and children were being brainwashed. “The Chinese Communist Party has destroyed Hong Kong. We can’t see any future,” he said.

A college student from China said some of his classmates participated in the A4 Revolution. He saw students hold paper with slogans like “Down With Xi Jinping!” His school authorities took away all A4 paper, including blank paper from the school. When talking about the self-immolation hoax on Tiananmen Square, the student said, “After I went abroad, I understood all the things that I was confused about!”

The student wished to quit the Youth League and Young Pioneers he joined when he was young. He said he could have joined the Communist Party in his senior year in college, but when he realized that all the CCP members he knew joined to advance their careers, he asked himself, “Do I want to be in the same group as them?” He eventually decided not to join the Party. He took a copy of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and said he would read it.
