(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 24 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhao Xiuye was arrested on December 21, 2025, and later released on bail. Her case was submitted to the Laizhou City Procuratorate on May 11, 2026. She is scheduled to stand trial in the Laizhou City Court on September 9, 2026.
Ms. Hu Yufen was arrested on January 13, 2026, and later released on bail. Her case was submitted to the Laizhou City Procuratorate in late August 2026.
Ms. Meng Qunman was reported to police for talking to a group of students about Falun Gong. She was arrested at home by officers from the Huarong County Police Department on September 2, 2026.
Ms. Wang Shuzhen was arrested in April 2026. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail later. Her case was recently submitted to the local procuratorate.
Ms. Wang Lihua was arrested by Yongnian Police Station officers on September 3, 2026 for ta,lking to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.
Ms. Yu Shuzhen was arrested when she was distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on September 3, 2026. The police ransacked her home and confiscated nearly 100 Falun Gong books, a laptop, a cell phone, and other personal belongings.
Mr. Jia Zhanmin was harassed at home by four officers from the Yangjiazhuang Township Police Station on the morning of September 2, 2026. They confiscated two computers, three printers, and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. Mr. Jia managed to escape during the raid.
Ms. Geng Xiuhua was arrested by Jianzhuang Police Station officers on September 3, 2026. The police confiscated her computer, printer, and Falun Gong books.
Ms. Jia Guiping was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Baodai Town Police Station when he was talking to people about Falun Gong at a local farmers’ market on the morning of August 14, 2026. She was released that evening.
Ms. Zhang Suzhi and Ms. Liu Fengru were recently arrested by Houyi Police Station officers for talking to people about Falun Gong at a market. Their homes were ransacked. The women were taken to the county police department for interrogation and released that afternoon.
Ms. Li Ruixi, 94, was harassed at home by two officers from the Quyangqiao Township Police Station in early September 2026. The officers confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder and a media player.
Ms. Lei Tizhen was arrested by four officers from the Shuilu Police Station on August 5, 2026. Her home was ransacked. She was held in the Songzi City Lockup for 15 days and released on August 21, 2026.
Three practitioners, including Ms. Zheng Shuyun, were arrested by Sanshengkou Police Station officers when they were talking to people about Falun Gong at the Wuchang Market on September 2, 2026. Ms. Zheng’s home was ransacked.
Mr. Zhang Chengwu was harassed at home by Yingqiu Town Police Station officers on the evening of September 2, 2026. The police took photos of him against his will.
Ms. Du Likun experienced dangerously high blood pressure and a rapid heartbeat, while on a hunger strike in the detention center. Despite her condition, she was forced to stand trial on September 1, 2026.
Five practitioners and 11 of their family members were arrested on August 19, 2026. The practitioners are Ms. Wang Hongmei, Ms. Wang Yumei, Ms. Wang Xiumin, Yan Jianqing, and Ms. Zhang Xuelian.
The practitioners’ family members were released after 24 hours. The practitioners are being held in the Taiyuan City Fourth Women’s Detention Center.
Mr. Yu You was arrested in late August 2023. He was later sentenced to three years and admitted to Tailai Prison. After he was released on August 21, 2026, he remained confused and was unable to eat. He died seven days later, on August 28.
