(Minghui.org) The popular Toowoomba Grand Floral Parade was held on September 19, 2026, in Toowoomba, Australia. The annual event attracted over 60,000 visitors this year.

Falun Dafa practitioners who participated were greeted with rounds of applause and cheers from spectators along the route. The group as a whole won first prize in the Community Walking Group, and the Tian Guo Band won third prize in the Band Section.

The theme of this year’s parade was “Spring Adventures,” and community groups designed their floats using fresh flowers such as tulips and foxglove to welcome spring to the Southern Hemisphere.

The Tian Guo Marching Band in bright blue and white uniforms played joyful and uplifting music. The waist drum team’s powerful drumbeats resonated with the audience. Practitioners held bunches of flowers and waved to people.

In introducing the practitioners’ contingent, the host explained that Falun Dafa is a spiritual practice that follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and is welcomed by many countries worldwide. Falun Dafa practitioners have participated in the annual Toowoomba Grand Floral Parade since 1999.

He also mentioned that the ladies in the Falun Dafa group in their colorful spring costumes and the children in traditional outfits were presenting the beauty of Chinese traditional culture.

People Enjoy Falun Dafa Practitioners’ Performances

Netta

Netta, a high school teacher, watched the parade with her son Robin and daughter Ailsa. She thought that the Falun Dafa group was “wonderful and vibrant.”

Robin, a manager at a building materials manufacturing plant, said that his family liked the Tian Guo Marching Band’s performances the best.

Ailsa, a project manager with a consulting company, said she thought the band was very special, that the musicians played so beautifully and their was grand and powerful.

Netta said that they would come back next year to see the band perform.

People Appreciate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance

Matt said he was very impressed by the Falun Dafa section in the parade

Matt is a car dealer from Gatton, Queensland. He normally works on Saturdays but asked for leave that Saturday so he could see the parade with his wife and two children. He said it was worthwhile.

He liked the Tian Guo Marching band, the waist drum team, and practitioners’ traditional costumes. He said he was very impressed by the entire Falun Dafa section.

When he saw the banner with the “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance” banner, he said that if more people practiced those values, the world would be more beautiful.

Retired Accountant: An Unforgettable Experience

Jane, a retired accountant, recently moved to Toowoomba, and this was the first time she’d seen this parade. She said the Falun Dafa group was wonderful and unforgettable.

She thought the Tian Guo Marching Band’s music was uplifting, the waist drums were impressive, and the costumes were beautiful and fairy-like. She looked forward to attending the parade next year and seeing them again.

Music Conveys Beauty and Hope

The Tian Guo Marching Band played eight selections, including “Falun Dafa Is Good” and “Triumph,” to much applause.

This is the second year Ms. Wang from Melbourne participated in the parade. She said, “People were very enthusiastic and applauded and cheered all the route when they saw band and the waist drum team.

“Music has no borders. We hope to convey the beauty of Falun Dafa through music and bring them strength and hope.”
