(Minghui.org) In 2021, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched its so-called “Zero-out” campaign (implying zero active practitioners), by forcing Dafa practitioners to sign statements guaranteeing that they would stop practicing Falun Dafa (or Falun Gong). Those who refused were often sent to brainwashing centers.
My family was contacted by local residential committee officials, asking for a face-to-face meeting at my home to have me sign the statement. I wasn’t afraid and prepared myself to speak with them in depth about the goodness of Falun Gong and the unjust nature of the persecution. I asked Master to strengthen me and began sending righteous thoughts. The COVID-19 outbreak was quite severe at the time, so my family limited the visit to no more than one hour.
A man and a woman from the residential committee arrived, and I greeted them warmly. I said, “I know you’re here because of Falun Dafa. If you want me to sign anything, I won’t. First, I’d like to explain why I practice Falun Dafa.”
I told them my personal story. Before I started practicing Falun Dafa, I was extremely weak and had multiple illnesses. I was in my 40s, and my heart was so weak that it beat only about 50 times per minute. I also suffered from recurring stomach flu, low blood platelet count, allergies, and lower back skeletal deformity.
After practicing Falun Dafa for just a few months, all my illnesses disappeared, and I felt light and healthy. Through this experience, I deeply experienced the miraculous and extraordinary nature of Dafa, which strengthened my resolve and faith.
I explained that Falun Dafa is a universal law based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It requires practitioners to strictly follow these principles, strive to become better people, always put others first, and ultimately cultivate selflessness. Practicing Dafa improves health and promotes family harmony.
Within seven years of Falun Dafa’s introduction, the number of practitioners reached 100 million. Former CCP leader Jiang Zemin became jealous that there were more practitioners than CCP members and initiated the persecution. He also fabricated the “Tiananmen self-immolation” incident to turn public opinion against Dafa.
They listened attentively without interrupting. I continued: “Falun Dafa has spread to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide and has received accolades from many governments. Conversely, the CCP has committed many wrongdoings in the past. For example, during the later stages of the Cultural Revolution, many police officers and military cadres who had supported the leftist movement were secretly executed near the Yunnan border. They were made scapegoats to appease public outcry so the CCP could evade responsibility. Their families were told they had died in the line of duty.”
I reminded them that the Roman Empire suffered divine retribution for persecuting Christians. In fact, more than 20,000 police officers and others are said to have suffered retribution for persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. These cases are documented on Minghui.org. One must not take part in persecuting Dafa and can only stay safe by withdrawing from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
“I must follow my Master’s teachings, so I cannot comply with your request today.” One of them suggested, “As long as you remain firm and unwavering in your heart, it’s fine to sign the document as a mere formality.”
I replied, “How could that be acceptable? Our words and actions must be consistent; practitioners cannot be dishonest.” Upon hearing this, he said nothing more.
I then explained that people who protected Dafa disciples received blessings, and I gave them several real-life examples.
The woman leader, who had not yet spoken, seemed touched by the topic. She said, “I also want to protect you and receive blessings. Regarding the document, you don’t need to sign it; we’ll sign it.” I countered, “You shouldn’t sign it either, because that wouldn’t be good for you.”
She replied, “Don’t worry about it. We’ll take care of it. But if anyone comes for a follow-up visit, please don’t say anything.” After that, those who had intended to visit never came. I knew she had stopped them.
Two weeks later, the two residential committee officials visited a female practitioner who lived in the same community. They told her to move the Dafa books and other items on her nightstand to a safe place because the police would soon be coming to her home. They also said they were on her side. The practitioner was quite surprised by their response. They had been rude before, so how had they suddenly become so kind? She was confused.
When she told me about it. I explained what had happened and said that, after understanding the truth, the officials had chosen a better future for themselves. In fact, Master had made this possible; I had merely spoken. While clarifying the truth, righteous thoughts gave me greater energy and wisdom. Their good deeds were all due to Master’s work. Master cleared away the evil factors influencing them, enabling them to rationally accept the truth.
Because of this residential committee leader’s kindness, no Dafa practitioners in the communities under her jurisdiction were sent to brainwashing centers. She also instructed community staff on how to respond to follow-up visits from higher authorities, thereby protecting Falun Dafa practitioners from persecution.
Meanwhile, we submitted these higher officials’ phone numbers to Minghui.org, enabling overseas practitioners to continue exposing the truth about the persecution to them and encouraging them to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Through the joint efforts of Falun Dafa practitioners in China and abroad, the residential committee staff came to understand the truth, performed kind deeds to protect Falun Dafa practitioners, and chose a bright future for themselves. Nearly five years have passed, and no officials have returned to my home. I am deeply grateful to Master!
In our area, committee staff have also warned practitioners when police were planning to raid their homes, allowing them to take timely precautions. When practitioners were arrested and taken to the community office, the staff treated the police with indifference and even spoke up for the practitioners.
In these final moments before the end of Fa-rectification, we Dafa disciples must make the most of our time and do the three things well. It’s especially important to clarify the truth to residential committee staff. Of course, we must also reach out to save police officers because they have been poisoned by the CCP.
Fellow practitioners, please place greater emphasis on saving these people. Once they understand the truth, they will no longer persecute or monitor Dafa disciples. This, in turn, will make it easier for us to go out and clarify the truth to more people.
