Why did Jiang Zemin (the president of China), become so irritated in front of Hong Kong's news media? The reason was very simple - a reporter spoke the truth. The reporter asked, "Since you are showing support to Mr. Dong (Hong Kong Special District Leader) so early, will people have a feeling that his position has already been dictated by an imperial order?" These words hit a vital part of Jiang. As a saying goes, "Being a thief always makes one feel uneasy." Also, upon hearing that question, Jiang even forgot to behave like the chairman of the state, and he couldn't help showing his true nature.
In his dealing with Falun Gong, Jiang also showed his cruel nature. Maybe many people could still remember that, when he made the decision to begin the crackdown on Falun Gong, Jiang once said, "I don't think I can't get rid of Falun Gong." From his experiences of so-called class struggle (to suppress some people in the name of proletariat dictatorship) in the past few decades, Jiang believed that nobody dared to fight against his will, and anything could be handled. However, this time his plan failed. Furthermore, his action awoke sympathy to and understanding of Falun Gong from all kind-hearted people around the world. Jiang's true cruel nature became exposed to the world.
The brutal persecution of Falun Gong has lasted for more than one year, yet Falun Gong has not vanished. Instead, Falun Gong practitioners in China never stopped going to Beijing and appealing at Tiananmen Square, and more and more people from overseas including many westerners, have also started practicing Falun Gong. This is the first time that a political suppression failed in China, in which tens of thousand of people were beaten, arrested, and sentenced to prison terms... But the practitioners never stopped or retreated.
Why is this? How to explain this unprecedented event in history?
For those people with rationality and conscience, please think about it. Rather than being misled by the propaganda of Jiang that confuses right and wrong, please make judgments with your conscience. There is only one simple purpose for Falun Gong practitioners to go to Tiananmen Square, that is, to tell people that Falun Gong is righteous. However, even this simple act is not allowed.
Recently, Jiang began another propaganda campaign of nationalism to fool those people both inside and outside China who haven't recognized his true evil nature. He slandered the truth-telling activities of overseas Falun Gong practitioners during large overseas events such as the Millennium Summit and the Olympic Games. He claimed it was a plot by western countries to overthrow the Chinese government. Isn't this absurd?
If practitioners in China were not persecuted for going to appeal in petition offices or in Tiananmen Square, why would they go to the UN to express their opinions? No matter in which country, even if someone is indeed a criminal, he still has the right to ask for a lawyer to defend him. However, in China, practitioners will be arrested and brutally beaten even to death simply because they do Falun Gong exercises in public, or go to appeal to say Dafa (the great law) is righteous. And there is no place for them to express their opinions. They can do nothing but let the international community know about this, and let the UN know about this. Thus, it becomes very clear who has really disrupted the social stability, and who has really disgraced the nation!
I think it's time for everyone with rationality and conscience to wake up to the truth. Jiang persecuted Falun Gong simply because he assumed Falun Gong would jeopardize his dictatorship. For the sake of his selfish desires, he confused right and wrong, thus making excuses for his further suppression. After all, the evil action of him and his followers is against the peaceful and kind will of everyone. Thus, their desperate struggles will only speed up their own destruction. The time for everything to be settled is not too distant, and history will testify to this.
