At 1:30PM on November 24, practitioners from Houston and San Antonio appealed for and promoted Dafa in front of the Chinese Consulate by requesting the release of Teng Chunyan and other detained Falun Dafa practitioners. Some of the practitioners held a sign that read: "We request the release of all arrested and detained Falun Dafa practitioners" and some held posters with pictures and articles depicting the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Some other practitioners distributed both Chinese and English flyers.
During the day, there were people who came to apply for visas from time to time. Since the Consulate was closed, they had more time to view the information boards for promoting Dafa. They also talked with Falun Dafa practitioners. There was a mid-aged American gentleman who has shown up every time practitioners are at the Chinese Consulate. He always signs his name on the petition that calls on the Chinese government to stop the persecution towards Falun Gong practitioners. People passed by and those who came to apply for visas had the chance to learn about the real situation of Falun Dafa. The activity continued until 4:00PM.
Practitioners in Houston have decided to have these kinds of activities regularly in front of the Chinese Consulate until the most appalling injustice towards Falun Dafa can be redressed.
