1. [Beijing] Banners Of "Falun Dafa" in Tiananmen Square (With Photos)
On February 22, two practitioners unfurled a banner reading "Falun Dafa"
On March 6, a banner reading "Falun Dafa is Good" floated to sky near the People's Auditorium.
2. [Chengdu, Si-chuan Province] More persecutions against Falun Gong practitioners
Practitioners Ms. Zhu Yi-fang, an official from the Guang-yuan City liaison office at Chengdu who got arrested for copying an open letter to the National People's Congress written by practitioners in Chengdu City, and Ms. Liao Chen-yu, a senior employee of a company, were transferred to criminal detention after 15 days of administrative detention. Ms. Cheng Tao, an official of the Foreign Economy Committee of Wu-hou district, were transferred to criminal detention too.
Some practitioners said that the police are closely monitoring practitioners in the Huang-zhong district where the above three practitioners' homes are located. The police officers from the Ying-men-kou police station of Jin-niu district interrogated practitioners and asked them whether they would go out of town or contact other fellow practitioners. The security officers in the Huang-zhong district would go to a practitioner's home whenever they found out that the practitioner has some guests at home. They would question where the guests come from and whether they are practitioners or not.
On the morning of February 29, Cui Yong-chang and Ni Yue-hua, who are a couple and who are both professors in the Si-chuan University, were under home arrest in the Hua-yuan Hotel affiliated with the Si-chuan University, after they delivered "an open letter to the National People's Congress from practitioners in Chengdu City" to the police station. They have been guarded by some security officers 24 hours a day and could not be visited for more than ten days when the news is posted.
Practitioner Ms. Li Ying-xiang and her husband, who lived in the Yu-lin-heng Street of Chengdu, got detained again for delivering the above open letter to the police station.
Practitioners have gone to Beijing to appeal to the central government and the National People's Congress to tell them the truth about Falun Gong. The Seamless Steel Factory recently issued a notice that practitioners who are given an administrative detention would be given admonition in the factory; practitioners who are given criminal detention or sentence will all be removed from their posts, or have their pensions suspended if they are retired employees.
After Minghui posted the news on March 7 that an experience sharing conference was held in Chengdu City, the Chengdu Public Security started to investigate the conference immediately. Their work is still ongoing when the news is posted.
3. [Beijing] Practitioners Continue to Appeal Courageously; The National People's Congress Continues (NPC) to Attack "Falun Gong" Groundlessly
Practitioners have gone to the Standing Committee Appealing Office of the NPC to appeal for the past two days. Some got arrested. During the session of the NPC, many practitioners have written letters to the NPC to petition them to consider the Falun Gong issue and return innocence to Falun Dafa and its founder, and to release all detained Falun Dafa practitioners. However, the NPC madly attacked Falun Dafa and claimed that they would "eliminate" Falun Gong in the end, which has forced more practitioners to stand out and step on the journey of appealing for Falun Dafa.
This afternoon, the police questioned many practitioners in Beijing and asked them whether they would go to appeal tomorrow, and ordered them to report to the police station on tomorrow's morning. The police also detained some practitioners tonight.
Practitioner Mr. Niu Jing-ping, who had been illegally detained in a mental hospital and got detained before the Chinese New Year for two days, was again taken away from his workplace this afternoon by the local police and is now detained in the police station. The police threatened him, "if you dare to go to appeal, I will detain you now."
