[Guangzhou] Group Practice Resumed, But Disrupted
On the morning of June 18, Falun Gong group practice was resumed in Guangzhou Tianhe, the Memorial Garden of Revolutionary Martyrs and in front of the Municipal Government. The practice in front of the Municipal Government drew around 200 practitioners, who were afterwards put on the police vehicles and taken away. Detailed information about them is not known.
[Changchun]
Xu Yinquan and Zhang Haitao have been jailed in the Tiebei Prison of Changchun for over one year. Their current status remains a mystery. Mr. Xu was an alternative contact person of the previous Falun Gong Assistance Center in Changchun, while Mr. Zhang was formally arrested last October for posting an article on a Falun Dafa web sit in Changchun. The accusation against him was "disrupting social orders". Both of them were detained back last July in the Tiebei detention center, and have not been allowed to be visited. Therefore, it is still a question whether they are still alive or not.
[Beijing]
51 Falun Gong practitioners conducted a group practice on the Tiananmen Square yesterday, but the group was dispersed by the police afterwards. The practitioners that unfurled a Falun Dafa banner were arrested, and their situation remains unknown.
[Mainland China]
S, a Falun Dafa practitioner and teacher of a high school in xx city, was dismissed from the Party recently. Since the decision was very unpopular among the public, the school administration and Party authority dared not make an announcement. The teacher has been to Beijing many times to appeal for Falun Gong, is persistent in practicing Falun Dafa, and stays unswayed by any threats and solicitations.
