On
February 5, 2000,
áI brought a banner with me to
Tiananmen Square where
I
planned
to help raise it and then
do
the exercises
to express
my opinion
and
validate
that Falun Dafa is righteous. There weren't many people in the Square since a police van
had just left with a full load of practitioners.á While
I was still taking
out the banner and
before
I could even
raise it, several
plain-cloth
policemen
rushed
at us,
kicked us down to the ground and started to tear the banner.á When I managed to stand up, aá plain-cloth
police
lifted
me from behind and then threw
me up in the air. I fell to the
ground a few meters away.á Then it became
really difficult for me to stand up. My left hand was very painful and I couldn't move it.á I couldnt lift my left arm either; it just
hung there by my side.á Walking was now difficult and slow.á Later, theá plain-cloth
policemen
rounded up
our
group along with a few other practitioners. They stood in a circle around us and told us
to squat
down
inside the circle. We wanted to get out, but they immediately called a police van and
pushed us into
it. I was knocked down again
before I could even try to stand up.
As I was trying again, a policeman in the van pulled both my hands up in the van and
pulled me in. I was lying on the floor of the van with my arms and legs under the seats.á I couldn't stand up
no matter how hard I tried;
meanwhile,
the police kept pushing more practitioners in.
Later,
I was transferred
to the Caoyang Police Station. There, we wrote letters
to
higher
authorities áto describe the situation.
In
order to alert the higher authorities to
the situation so they could solve the problems,
Iá went on a hunger strike for ten days.á I
was
forced to stand for long periods of time
and I
was not allowed to sleep at night; I could only sit. Twice
I was force-fed
with saline water. I was cuffed with both hands behind my back for three days. When I was
released from the police station, I was very weak and exhausted. Dr. Ma (the police doctor
there) even
threatened
my parents that he would kill me inside the station if I were brought in again. Even
though he later
asked somebody to express his apology,
my parents were extremely concerned.á With
the
fear that I might appeal again and therefore lose my job, they forced me into the Mental
Illness Department of the Fifth Hospital of Hebei province to prevent me from going to
Beijing to appeal.
The
hospital accepted me without any examination. Hospital president D said that I had no
mental problems at all when he made
the rounds of the wards .
Dr. G asked me several times why my
áparents had sent me
to the mental hospital and I said that
it was because
I wouldn't agree to not to appeal. He tried to persuade
me
too.á The doctor in charge prescribed drugs for
me.
I said that the law protects
citizens
from violation against their personal freedom
and I had
an absolute right and requirement to be allowed to leave the hospital.á So I refused to take any medicines
or
food.á Later on,
I
sent a written report to the hospital, but
nobody answered
it. My husband learned that
I was in áthe hospital at
the
beginning of last
May
and was very worried and surprised. He contacted the hospital to free me but the hospital
refused. My husband was not allowed to see me even though he followed the
hospital
procedure
every time.á Sometimes he was even expelled from the door so he
couldn't even say hello, and his pockets and wallet were turned inside out only because
his wife was illegally detained in the mental hospital for practicing Falun Dafa.
I
was often tied to the bed and force-fed food and drugs for several hours until I vomited
the last drop of bile. Eventually,
they
changed to
infusions.á For
a period of time,
they force-fed drugs into
my mouth every day and my teeth were bent in great pain. My lips were bruised. Sometimes
male nurses would squeeze the sides of my chin and mouth so hard that flesh came out from
between my teeth. The bed was wet all the time, my clothes
were soaked with liquid drugs, and the force-feeding almost choked me to death. Later,
they applied electroshock to me and my body became stiff from head to toe. After that, my
knees went numb and I couldn't move around easily. Sometimes
I
almost couldnt even climb into the bed.á I
had
about seven courses
of electroshock.á It lasted as long as a half an hour, and
sometimes,
after
I had one in the evening,á I had another one
the next morning. áThe medicines evidently
made my memory fail and I often felt headache. Sometimes I
felt great nerve pain all over my limbs. The doctors
asked me if I hated them.
I said I didn't hate them
because I had learned compassion
for others
in Falun Dafa.á I only wished
that they could know
the truth of Falun Dafa objectively
and
not miss this extremely rare opportunity because they are ultimately responsible for
themselves.á
I
lived with all kinds of mental patients for more than four months. That was very
difficult
for
a
normal person.á I often helped the doctors and nurses take
care of their
patients, and
tried
to straighten
out and console them.á Several times, after he
knew
my background, the nursing director sighed and
said that
I shouldn't have been there.á The nurses said
to me that I could get out ifá I
agreed
not to appeal.
I
would always tell them the truth of Falun Dafa.á
On
July 15, I was released from the hospital.á My
heart was still
very heavy since there
were still too many practitioners being detained, arrested, sent to labor camps andá imprisoned.á They
are tortured both bodily and mentally and locked up in places where good people don't
deserve to be.á I wish that the Chinese
government would immediately withdraw its wrong policy toward Falun Dafa.á I wish it would cancel the arrest warrant for
Teacher Li Hongzhi, rehabilitate the reputation of Falun Dafa and its Teacher, immediately
release
all
practitioners who have been illegally arrested, detained, sent to labor camps
and imprisoned, stop the persecution of Falun Dafa
and Falun Dafa practitioners,
allow Falun Dafa books to be published freely and openly, and return the legal status to
the cultivation of Falun Dafa.
Truth
exists
forever.á Justice prevails
forever.
