During this summer, Falun Gong practitioners in Arvika, Sweden, toured different cities in the province of V rmland, to introduce the Falun Gong exercises and to provide information about the practice and the situation in China.
The province of V rmland is located in west Sweden close to Norway, so many Norwegians were able to receive the information. There was a great response in the different cities and many people were curious to know more about Falun Gong.
The practitioners visited a total of ten different cities to demonstrate the movements and to inform people about Falun Gong. They were often asked about the difference between ordinary qigong and Falun Gong. When people found out that Falun Gong is a high-level cultivation practice which emphasizes the refinement of xinxing, (heart/mind nature, moral values), they were profoundly touched. Many were happy to hear about the principles of Truth, Compassion and Tolerance and the fact that humans have innate spiritual capabilities. Adults as well as children came to know about Falun Gong. And no matter the age and the background, they were interested.
The practitioners also brought with them a photo exhibition to give an introduction to Falun Gong and the persecution in China. Many people already knew about the crimes against human rights committed by the Chinese regime and the Chinese practitioners' situation. Many people expressed their concerns about the methods of persecution.
The sympathy for Falun Gong practitioners in China was huge and everyone wished that the Chinese regime would come to its senses and release all Falun Gong practitioners. Many wanted to know more and we often ran out of flyers, books and videos.
The tour was concluded in a large market-event in the city of rj ng on 9th September. Several thousands, who visited the market, came to know about Falun Gong.
