Police were yesterday accused of inciting complaints against Falun Gong members, who are staging a daily sit-in outside Beijing's Liaison Office, by surveying nearby residents.
Falun Gong members and human rights activists described the police move as political suppression aimed at removing the practitioners from the site.

While vice-president Hu Jin Tao was in the UK, a practitioner informed the BBC World Service Asia TV station about the Falun Gong activities following the vice-president. They were very interested and invited the practitioner for an interview. A few days later this interview was broadcast to Asian countries with tens of millions of viewers. The interviewer talked about the persecution and also mentioned our efforts to release Trinity College Dublin student Zhao Ming.
