On December 10, Toronto practitioners held a Christmas and New Year's Party at North York Central Library to thank those who have shown their support to Falun Gong. About 350 people attended the celebration, including members of the Provincial Parliament(MPPs), City Councilors, leaders of the Chinese community, representatives from the business sector and non-governmental organizations (NGO's) as well as several news agencies.
Honored guests tasting over 50 kinds of delicious dishes prepared by practitioners
The party started with a buffet style dinner. Practitioners prepared over 50 different dishes for the guests.
During the dinner, the FGM TV program "Falun Dafa is good," "Ru Meng Ling," and "SOS! Global RescueWalk" were shown for the guests to let them know about the recent developments of Falun Dafa.
The guests also gave brief speeches. They cherish the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance and expressed their understanding of the peace and benevolence Falun Dafa has brought to people. They also condemned the brutal persecution of Jiang Zemin's regime against peaceful Falun Gong practitioners.
The speeches by two practitioners who went to Tiananmen to appeal for Falun Gong won warm applause from the audience. A leader of the Chinese community especially made two plaques with Zhen-Shan-Ren and presented them to the two Western practitioners.

The ceremony performance began with a demonstration of the Dafa exercises by young practitioners from Toronto Minghui (Clearwisdom) School, followed by a piano solo, a song "Walking with Teacher", and other performances.
The ceremony concluded amidst a lively and harmonious atmosphere. Some people expressed that they had gained a better understanding of Falun Gong.
The ceremony was a different format with which to reveal the beauty of Dafa and awaken the compassion in the hearts of the people.
