On the evening of December 14, 2001, a dinner party was held at the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC, and among the guests were Chinese delegates and local Chinese.
Falun Gong practitioners stood in front of the embassy and held posters calling for an end to the persecution. The participants were mainly western practitioners, including several who participated in the Tiananmen appeal on November 20, 2001. Two of them stepped to the gate of the embassy, talked with embassy staff in front of the gate and clarified the true facts of the persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in China.
Several of the practitioners came here directly after work. Many of them did not have dinner.
In the embassy, there were also non-Chinese guests. They asked for English truth-clarifying CD's. Some of them expressed their appreciation in Chinese from the bottom of their hearts. After learning the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and the worldwide spread of Falun Gong, some guests said "Falun Dafa is really good."
The practitioners also showed the big group photos of the 36 western practitioners on Tiananmen Square.
