[Minghui Net] No matter what people think of the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen Square, five people did set themselves on fire. Was it a Falun Gong practitioners' group self-immolation? Why didn't they go to Tiananmen Square to do so before Jiang Zemin initiated the crackdown on Falun Gong? Falun Gong is a peaceful group that seeks physical health and spiritual enlightenment. Tens of thousands of its members have been sentenced to jail or sent to labor camps, and over one hundred people have been brutally tortured to death while in police custody. Members of this group have appealed peacefully thousands of times. But they have been met with violence in every single attempt to appeal. Every appeal incurred a more intensified persecution. Didn't Jiang Zemin coerce this self-immolation? Was it actually another group's self-immolation to express their grievances? This is not at all something new in today's China. There have been family suicides of unemployed workers; there have been suicides of ordinary citizens who could not find a place to lodge their complaints or grievances; and there have been farmers who committed suicide because they could not afford their heavy financial burden. According to official statistics, there are over two hundred thousand suicide incidents every year. How many of them were not a direct result of this unjust and vicious regime?
Was the incident in Tiananmen Square a self-directed offensive move from Jiang Zemin's regime's "congress of arson?" This regime takes its citizens' lives as being worth nothing and regards people with different opinions as enemies. This regime is attempting to resort to force to take Taiwan regardless of the consequences for having Chinese people slaughter each other once again. This is a regime that does not abide by the constitution, does not respect the law or human rights, and does not keep its promises. Can you imagine an indecent act that it would not commit?
After all, the self-immolation incident in Tiananmen did take place. What if it were a Falun Gong practitioners' group self-immolation? What it if it were another group that had been driven to desperation and chose to set themselves on fire? What if it was, indeed, a self-directed offensive move by Jiang Zemin's regime's "congress of arson?" And what if more strange interpretations were found? Even thousands of lips are unable to justify the darkness of this atrocious regime. Even thousands of hands working together could not clean the bloody knife in Jiang Zemin's hands. This is what the self-immolation incident tells the world!
Currently, people are wondering what Jiang Zemin's regime is doing after the Tiananmen self-immolation incident. Are they questioning whether their method of ruling the country has gone astray? Are they questioning whether their suppression of Falun Gong, Zhong Gong [another qigong practice], various religious beliefs, and dissidents are against heavenly principles and those of humanity? Instead of concerning themselves with the peoples' sufferings and the nation's fate and acting accordingly, they ignore the lesson of the self-immolation and use this incident to further go against the people's will. They have intensified the persecution of Falun Gong, and are forcing people nationwide to declare their position of Falun Gong. They have launched a second "Great Cultural Revolution!" In order for Jiang Zemin's regime to stay in power, they are trying to eradicate all groups and individuals who are not in their favor, as well as all opinions and views that are not pleasing to their ears. Isn't this what is currently going on in China? Isn't this the position that Jiang Zemin's regime has declared to the people of China as well as of the whole world!
The self-immolation incident occurred, and it was used by Jiang Zemin's regime. Through the media, all Chinese and people around the world smelled the odor of burned human flesh. Through TV and photos, all Chinese and people around the world saw the disfigured and charred bodies. But everyone who still has a conscience will hear with his/her heart the real meaning of this self-immolation incident. Meanwhile, the incident itself, like a huge stain, and has marked a shameful page in Chinese history!
