[Editor' note: April 10 -- Psychiatrists from the United States and Britain held a press conference today in Geneva to condemn China' use of psychiatry for political purposes. Dr. Sunny Lu, a psychiatrist and an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati in the United States, made a speech in the conference. The following is her speech.]
[Minghui Net] On the afternoon of April 5, 2001, two officials in charge of Human Rights and Asian Affairs at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs made an appointment with two Falun Gong practitioners who once suffered brutal persecution in Mainland China. The practitioners recounted the brutal tortures they suffered in China' jails and labor camps, exposing the illegal acts of Jiang Zemin and his regime in recklessly violating the Chinese constitution. They also answered the two officials' questions.
[Minghui Net] On April 5th, at the Wilson Presidential Hotel in Geneva, the Cuba Human Rights Organization and Freedom House jointly held a conference for Cuba Human Rights Warrior and Union. They are seeking support from the United Nations Human Rights Commission.
