[Minghui Net] On June 24, an Australian Radio Station reported that the death toll caused by heavy rains and floods had risen to 66 in Hunan Province in central China.
According to local officials, 46 people had also been reported missing, and among those who had been injured, 19 were in serious condition. About 210,000 people in total were affected by the rain and flood.
The flood also caused serious damages to industries and mines, with the economic loss estimated to be as high as $120 million.
Last week, about 100 people died due to floods in Yunnan Province and Guangxi Province (both are in Southwestern China) as well as in Guangdong province.
