Old and young, and transcending racial boundaries, practitioners have been gathering peacefully night and day through rain and shine outside the Sydney Chinese Consulate to clarify the facts to the Australian public and Government. It is Day 4 of an ongoing hunger strike for several practitioners who are conducting a vigil in order to make an appeal.
Signatures of support still appear from members of the public who, despite the piercing cold winds and heavy rain, pass by to sign the petition to end the persecution in China. The practitioners resiliently sat in the lotus position, reading or sending forth righteous thoughts.
The practitioners are volunteering their time and hearts to this significant event of silent sitting and fasting, hoping that their efforts will not be in vain.
