On Saturday, August 25, almost two-dozen practitioners convened in Madison, WI to clarify the truth and expose the evil. This large-scale event was the first of its kind in WI and had very remarkable results.
Madison has a farmers' market every Saturday that is well known throughout the whole state. Dozens of produce stands line the edge of the streets that circumambulate the Capitol Building and several thousand people visit the market throughout the day. On this morning, bright balloons that read "Truth-Benevolence-Tolerance" and people practicing Falun Gong on the Capitol Lawn greeted the market-goers.
Initially, the people seemed reticent to take flyers and learn more about Falun Gong, so everyone sat down to send out righteous thoughts. Immediately following the verse, "The Fa rectifies the Cosmos; Evil is completely eliminated," thunder clapped and rain started to fall. A little boy walking with his father said, "Dad, they're making it rain."
After ten minutes, the rain stopped and the sun shone as we handed out more flyers and then became organized for a parade.
The parade started off very well and must have angered the old forces a great deal, because halfway into the procession, the sky suddenly dumped down what we later learned to be a record rainfall. Soaked to the bone, we proceeded to hold with dignity our SOS banners.
Following the parade, we dried off and held an introductory workshop at the UW-Madison student union. A television crew and reporters from two newspapers attended along with people who stayed for almost the whole two-hour workshop.
Everyone felt that the day was a very big success but that it also encouraged us to do more in our future efforts. The Wisconsin practitioners learned a lot about how the evil forces can and will put up much resistance to any righteous effort that is made to expose their selfish nature. We will continue to diligently send forth righteous thoughts and make resolute efforts to bring to the good people of Wisconsin the Great Fa of the Universe.
