(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioner Bai Gendi was an employee of the Shanghai Oil Company. He resided in Leshanxincun Oil Plaza, Hongqiao Street, Xuhui District, Shanghai City. After July 20, 1999, Bai Gendi was one of the first Dafa practitioners to be illegally sentenced to a forced labour camp for participating in a group practice held in a large stadium in Shanghai with a capacity of 80,000 seats. Bai Gendi was seen as one of the organizers. During the 2 year term, Bai Gendi was determined in his belief in Dafa, although he was often forced to do over 20 hours of hard labour per day, deprived of sleep, not allowed to have a shower during the hot summer, confined in the cell, not given enough food, attacked by collaborators (former practitioners who have "enlightened" along an evil path) and not allowed to see his family. Even under such harsh persecution, Bai Gendi was still able to maintain his righteous thoughts, validate Dafa, and ultimately walk out of the forced labour camp with dignity. However, the Xuhui police once again illegally kidnapped Bai Gendi in February 2002. It was heard that he was again secretly sentenced to a forced labour camp.
Luo Wei and his wife Chi Bo were also employees in the same oil company and neighbours of Bai Gendi. Their daughter, a 17 year-old high school student, is named Luo Dan. Luo Wei's family was arrested and illegally detained by the Xuhui Police Department for one month when they went to validate Dafa in Tiananmen Square in March 2000. Later, Luo Wei was sentenced to 1 year in a forced labour camp. Luo Dan, their daughter, shocked the education system by writing an article discussing the fact that Falun Dafa was wrongfully persecuted and slandered by the Jiang regime. Chi Bo was kidnapped in January 2002 while she was passing out truth clarifying pamphlets. The 17-year-old Luo Dan was sent to forced brainwashing sessions, and her situation is currently unknown. Bai Gendi and Luo Wei were dismissed from their jobs after being sentenced to forced labor camp. Nobody from this practitioner family has been spared.
