Hong Kong Canada Alliance and Toronto Association for Democracy in China held a press conference in Metro Hall, Toronto on December 12, 2002 to express their opposition to the Article 23 legislation. Many Chinese media in Toronto attended.
In recent weeks, many UK Members of Parliament have raised their concerns about the impact of Article 23 in Hong Kong, which could easily be used by the Hong Kong authorities to ban Falun Gong.
