Making Posterboards
Typical posters are either heavy or not weatherproof, and prone to damage after rain. We found a suitable type of board for Dafa posters: PVC (plastic) board. It can be bought from art supply stores. Its suitable size and light weight make it easy to carry (a piece of 3x2 ft weighs about 3.5 oz.). It is durable and lasts a long time. It is waterproof and easy to clean. It's easy to cut, and several different colors are available. If two pieces of board are taped together on top, the bottom can be opened for freestanding exhibitions on both sides (Fig. 5).

Dafa posters and color flyers can be pasted on the board. A bag for holding Dafa literature can be attached also.
The Posterboard Speaks for Itself
Inadvertently, the Dafa posterboards first played a role in my home. After assembling the boards, I showed them to my family, explaining more about Dafa to them, and I answered their questions. Since then, when relatives or friends have come to visit, my father would say, "Show them your poster boards!" On several occasions, my father said to relatives, "Go ahead and practice Falun Gong. My daughter is practicing Falun Gong. Falun Gong is very good."

I brought the posterboards to the practice site, and fellow practitioners came up to look. The photo showing 36 Western practitioners in Tiananmen Square (Fig.1) drew a lot of attention. As there were new practitioners, we explained that the self-immolation incident was contrived. On the right side of Fig.1, a photo shows the exercise demonstration of tens of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in the opening ceremony of the Asian Sport Festival in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, in 1998. Some said, "There were so many people on the Mainland in 1998 practicing Falun Gong in an opening ceremony! How come the Party suddenly banned it?" "Look, the whole world says Falun Dafa is good. Even in Russia, there are so many people practicing Falun Gong. People will be able to practice freely soon on the Mainland." Another new practitioner said, after looking at the SOS poster (Fig.2), "I knew about the persecution, but I never thought it was so cruel! Do you have any more information? I'll view it in greater detail!"

We set up the posterboards beside our practice site in the morning. Many passersby stopped and looked. There was some Dafa introductory literature on the board, displaying the "Free Teaching" poster (Fig. 4). Some passersby read the material on site or took the information away with them. On the board (Fig. 4), the words are "Falun Dafa spreads in Taiwan." "There were over 600 practice sites in Taiwan, but as of March 2002, the sites have increased to over 700!"
