1. Being a cultivator, the thought of oneself as being better in cultivation and higher in level is in fact a manifestation of demonic nature, it is a manifestation of the show-off mentality and vanity. No matter how well one cultivates, he or she is still only improving in Dafa, and all that is gained is from the Fa. Those who truly cultivate well are always aware of their own shortcomings and will strive for further advancement.
Some practitioners, due to this very demonic nature, believe that they are very good at cultivation and their level is pretty high. They have been to Beijing and have endured what they are supposed to endure. They have been very firm and steadfast in the past and have given a lot for Dafa, and they feel that they have almost done enough so they do not want to endure any more. As a result, they have been taken advantage of by the evil and agreed to the evil saying that "Cultivation is finished, there is no need to cultivate any more, and we should conform to everyday people." They have created demonic interference from their own mind, thus following the path of evil enlightenment.
Cultivation is a serious matter. Any single omission can be exploited by the evil to destroy you.
2. Only by getting rid of all selfishness can one be a true person of compassion
Selfishness is the root of all attachments. It is demonic by nature and is a yoke and poison to a life.
Without self-protective selfishness, one will not feel hurt or wronged and will take hardships as joy. Without selfishness, one's heart will be free, open and compassionate.
With selfishness, one will feel disturbed and unbalanced. Thoughts, words and deeds without selfishness are the true manifestation of compassion. Only by shedding all selfishness can one be a person of compassion.
