Dear President Bush,

Today, on Valentine's Day, my wife and I have decided to go to Tiananmen Square to peacefully appeal to the Chinese Communist leadership. We have one simple request: "China: Stop Persecuting the Falun Gong Practitioners".

For the past two years, millions of Falun Gong practitioners in China have been brutally persecuted simply because of their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. We have many friends here in the United States, who were detained and tortured while visiting their loved ones in China -- simply because they practice Falun Gong.

Even here on U.S. soil, China's huge hate campaign has taken it's toll. Chinese Consulates have actively hosted anti-Falun Gong seminars and have even been contacting government officials to persuade them not to support us. This is wrong and should not be tolerated.

We could have easily spent this Valentine's Day strolling in Central Park, near our Upper East Side Apartment; however, today we have chosen to extend our hearts to the billions of people in China who have been deceived by a small group of evil people in the upper communist leadership. We have both practiced Falun Gong for over 2 years, and have benefited mentally, physically and spiritually.

In your visit to China, we strongly urge that you stand up for the Universal Human Rights to freedom of conscience and belief. Falun Gong is not just a Chinese issue -- but is an icon for all of humanity. If the most powerful nation in the world fully supports Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, the evil will have no place to hide and the world will be a brighter place.

Sincerely,

Scott & Eliana Chinn
