Voice of America report: There is no medical treatment available for Chinese peasants who can't get health care for minor illnesses and have no choice but to wait for death when they have major illnesses. Occasionally, urban doctors go to the villages claiming they are treating the peasants for free while actually they are selling shoddy drugs. Wandering quacks bribe government officials on various levels with lots of money and are then able to abuse patients and swindle people out of their money. This is happening from the provincial hospitals down to the village clinics.
Central News Agency April 10 report: The Chinese Ministry of Water Conservation revealed that the level of water pollution along the Yongzhi River is increasing every year. This is causing a continuous decline in water quality.

A practitioner in Canada filed a lawsuit with help from a local human rights association. He claimed that his former employer fired him because he practices Falun Gong. Furthermore, this employer made up untrue things about him that resulted in him being rejected when applying for unemployment benefits. On March 28, the Canadian federal justice committee decided in this practitioner's favor and he won the suit.

One hundred and thirty practitioners solemnly declared that the things they said and did that were unfit for a Falun Dafa practitioner while undergoing intensive brainwashing and high-pressure persecution were invalid. They are determined to redouble their efforts to make up for the damage done and catch up with the Fa-rectification process.
Out of greed, a man named Feng Xianlun from Xiaocao Village, Taishitun Township, Miyun County, Beijing monitored Falun Dafa practitioners regularly and tipped off the police whenever he saw practitioners clarifying the truth and handing out flyers. His brother, Feng Xianzhan warned him not to do that but he refused to heed this advice. In the end, Feng Xianlun died suddenly while he was working in the fields.

Practitioners from Taipei held a nine-day lecture at Taiwan University from March 18-26.
Invited by the International Human Rights Association, Zhang Cuiying held a painting exhibition in Germany. At the press conference on April 8, a spokesperson from the Munich branch of the Human Rights Association of Germany spoke about the brutal persecution perpetrated by Jiang's regime. Ms Zhang and a practitioner from Germany recounted their experiences of being persecuted in China.
