[Liaoning Province] Perpetrators at Masanjia Forced Labor Camp Illegally Detain Seriously Ill Practitioners

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] The Horrible Situation at the No. 2 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang City

On April 11, 2002, Clearwisdom reported the situation at the No. 2 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang City. Eight Dafa practitioners were illegally detained there, including 4 female practitioners on a hunger strike. The guards often beat the female practitioners during their hunger strike. Two of the practitioners have been force fed for 4 months, and the feeding tube has injured their stomachs. As a result, they often vomit blood. Being very weak, they are in critical condition.

Learning the horrible news, many kind people are very worried. Recently, someone sent some clothes to the detention center for the practitioners. The guards refused, saying, "Nothing is allowed to be sent to Falun Gong practitioners." Even inmates waiting to be executed have the right to receive clothes and be visited by their family members and friends. Why is it that the people who cultivate "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" cannot?

In December of 2000, 99 practitioners detained at the No. 4 Group of Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin for the crimes he has committed in persecuting Falun Gong. For submitting the lawsuit, Dafa practitioners Zhu Hong and Liu Juhua were secretly tried and illegally sentenced on April 20, 2001 at Xinhua District Court. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Dafa Practitioners Arrested Recently

Police in Jianan District, Jiamusi City arrested three practitioners (Liu Junhua, Dong, and Guo) on April 10 and 11. Some of them were arrested from their homes and others were arrested from their work units. Several police guards pushed Liu to the ground and stomped on his head, then they grabbed his keys and opened the door to his home. The perpetrators then ransacked Liu's home and made a mess. Family members of the three practitioners were also harassed. They said indignantly, "Why is it so hard to be a good person these days?"

The police abducted practitioner Zhu Dali, ransacked his home and confiscated his computer. According to Zhu's neighbors, the police also tried to arrest Zhu's mother, who is also a practitioner.

Zhu Dali is a 28 years old male. He is a college graduate from the Computer Science Department of Jilin University. Zhu works at the Foreign Trade Department of Jilin Province.

[Wuxue City, Hubei Province] Police Arrest Practitioner Zhang Taofeng, Leaving Her Four Children to Fend for Themselves

On New Year's Eve (Chinese lunar calendar), practitioner Zhang Taofeng was arrested by the police while she was outside looking for her children. Since then, the perpetrators have been holding Zhang at the Wuxue City Detention Center. Zhang's husband died in an accident at work last year and his work unit pays 180 Yuan [Chinese currency. The average monthly salary of an urban worker in China is about 500 Yuan, 200 Yuan for a rural worker] to his family every month. As a result, Zhang and her 4 children live a very poor life. Zhang is in her 40s. Before she practiced Falun Gong, she suffered from many diseases such as osteitis and pleurisy. She regained her health after practicing Falun Gong, and she was able to survive with her 4 children. However, the inhumane police arrested her, leaving her 4 children at home. Her children cannot even prepare meals for themselves. We hope that kind-hearted people extend their help and save Zhang and her 4 children from this miserable situation.

[Pingshan County, Hebei Province] Dafa Banners Shock the Evil - A Government Official Runs into Trouble with His Relatives

On January 2, 2002 (Chinese lunar calendar), a government official's car passed by an intersection in Pingshan County. The intersection is at Mengshenbi, which is about half a mile west of Pingshan City. On a billboard north of the intersection, there was a 15-foot-long banner that read: "Congratulations on Hebei Falun Dafa Day."

The official reported the issue to Shi Junhai, who is the secretary of the Pingshan County Political and Judiciary Committee. When Shi arrived at the scene, he saw a young lady nearby who was waiting for a bus. Shi claimed that the lady was a Dafa practitioner and tried to force her to take the banner down. The lady said, "I am not a Falun Gong practitioner and I did not hang the banner there. Plus, the banner is so high that I cannot climb up there." Shi did not listen to her, beat her up and then handcuffed her. Shi tried to do the same thing to an old lady (about 50) nearby, who was selling fruit. When she refused, Shi cuffed her too. Two passersby were also treated the same way.

The family members of the young lady were indignant when they learned of the situation. They went to Shi's home that same night to reason with him. They threatened to file a lawsuit against him. Later on, Shi learned that the young lady he beat was a distant relative of his wife.

[Lanzhou City, Ningxia Province] Perpetrators in Pingantai Forced Labor Camp Force Practitioners to "Reform" by Torturing Them

In order to force the practitioners to give up their cultivation, perpetrators in Pingantai Forced Labor Camp put them in confinement cells and torture them by hanging them up in the air. Practitioners in confinement cells are all handcuffed and not allowed to sit down or sleep. They are forced to kneel down on the cement floor. The perpetrators only give each practitioner one glass of drinking water per day, and they beat the practitioners or shock them with electric batons. The perpetrators also handcuff the practitioners with their hands either in the front of or behind their backs, and then hang them up in the air by attaching ropes to the handcuffs. Their only goal is to force the practitioners to "reform" and write "the three letters" (denouncing Dafa).

[Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Cai Huanxin Abducted and Brought to Qiaodong District Brainwashing Class

On March 11, 2001, some police from the local police station abducted practitioner Cai Huanxin and forced him into a brainwashing class in Qiaodong District. Cai was illegally sentenced to forced labor and detained at Shijiazhuang and Gaoyang Forced Labor Camps, where Cai endured horrible torture. Cai was released from the forced labor camp not long ago, but they continued to torture him at the brainwashing class.

It is believed that the perpetrators in Qiaodong District plan to arrest more practitioners and send them to a brainwashing class. Under the brutal persecution, Cai's health continues to deteriorate and yet the persecutors refuse to release him.

[Siping City, Jilin Province] Police Plan to Try A New Way of Persecution in Yitong County

Recently, the persecutors in Yitong County enlarged the county Political Security Section This is the unit in charge of persecution of practitioners. They force every person who has practiced Falun Gong to fill out a detailed form indicating one's height, weight, fingerprints, etc. What the perpetrators plan to do with the forms is still unknown.

[Heilongjiang Province] The "610" Office Plans to Persecute Practitioners by 3-Month Intensive Brainwashing

Recently, the "610" Office [A bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] of Heilongjiang Province has been planning to intensively persecute practitioners in April, May, and June. Following orders from the Jiang-Luo Regime, the persecutors of the province plan to build "schools" and "study bases," where abducted practitioners will be forced to undergo brainwashing. Beginning on April 3, the perpetrators of Daowai District in Harbin City have closely followed the orders from the province and escalated their persecution of Falun Gong. The district government requires that every government unit find out which employees practice Falun Gong. These misguided people were also ordered by the district police to hide around the 20 blocks of Jingyu Street, where many truth-clarifying fliers are often seen, to arrest practitioners.

54 year-old Tang Jianxing (male) is a former government official in Jiangnan Village. He has been the leader in persecuting practitioners in Jiangnan Village. Below are a few examples.

In January 2001, Tang had a talk with practitioner Wang Lihua, who is a schoolteacher. Wang explained what Dafa was about to Tang and told him not to treat Falun Gong practitioners unlawfully. Afterwards, Tang reported their talk to his superiors and used it to further persecute the practitioners.

On January 10, 2002, Tang reported to the police about practitioners' group study at Li Xiaohui's home. He also reported six practitioners to the police for making truth-clarifying materials. As a result, the police arrested and tortured the practitioners. Many materials for clarifying the truth and promoting Dafa were also confiscated.

Gu Xiaoli, male, is a 44 years old. Gu is an unemployed villager in Jiangnan Village. Home phone: 86-454-8589682. Gu Xiaoli is the father of Gu Baocheng, a student of practitioner Wang Lihua. Wang distributed some truth-clarifying video CDs to the students. Gu Xiaoli took the CD that his son brought home and found the village chief, Wang Rong. After watching the CD, Wang Rong and party secretary Guo Jishun went to visit the headmaster of the school, Wang Jingzhi. The three then reported the issue to the local police station. On the afternoon of March 8, government officials of Changqing Town and some police from Changhong Police Station came to the school and interrogated Wang Lihua for two hours. During the interrogation, Gu Xiaoli ferociously demanded to know the source of the CDs. Wang was then arrested and sent to the local detention center where he was tortured.

Wang Jingzhi, female, is 56. She is the headmaster of Jiangnan Primary School in Changqing Town. Her phone numbers: 86-454-8688899 (Home), 86-454-8589727 (Office). Since July 20, 1999, Wang Jingzhi has closely followed the Jiang regime's lead in persecuting Dafa practitioners. Twice she helped to send practitioners Wang Lihua and Wu Yuying to the local detention center. Wang Jingzhi also monitors the practitioner employees of the school, reporting their words and activities to her superiors frequently. She even suspended Wang Lihua and Wu Yuying from the school for a period of time. Wang Jingzhi often slanders Falun Gong at meetings and gatherings at the school.

Several months after she sent the two practitioners to the local detention center, Wang Jingzhi met with retribution. She was diagnosed with diabetes and sent to the hospital. Once she fell suddenly, causing her leg to swell up. Although the doctors took out much water and blood from inside the swollen tissue, Wang Jingzhi had to stay at home for 2 weeks. Recently, she suffered from a protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral discs, abdominal cavity lump, hepatitis type B, and many other diseases. At 3 p.m. every day, Wang Jingzhi goes to see a doctor. Her husband hates Dafa even more, having burned Dafa books and cursed Dafa. He has also encouraged his wife to persecute practitioners and directly participated in the persecution.

[Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Some Police and Community Office Staff Go to Practitioners' Homes and Harass Them

Recently, some misguided people in police stations and community offices went to practitioners' homes to harass them. They said that this was "work" assigned by their superiors. They talk to the practitioners and their family members to get more information from them in order to prepare for further persecution. Many of these people have learned the truth about Dafa, yet they continue to use "work" and "orders from above" as excuses to persecute practitioners, harming others and themselves.

[Baoqing County, Heilongjiang Province] Perpetrators in the No. 2 Detention Center of Baoqing County Extend Practitioners' Terms and Torture Them

A few Dafa practitioners are being detained at the No. 2 Detention Center of Baoqing County. The perpetrators have extended their terms many times. When practitioners protest by going on a hunger strike, the guards brutally force-feed them. When practitioners refuse to wear prison clothes, the guards hang them up in the air and beat them. The practitioners held in the detention center are suffering greatly every day.
