In China, practitioners of Falun Gong are persecuted. In Victoria, they raise awareness about that persecution by sitting at a downtown intersection. Colland, Banks and Palfrey were meditating outside the Gate of Harmonious Interest a few weeks. Not long before, Palfrey had been detained by police in Tiananmen Square, for protesting against Chinese government's treatment of Falun Gong's [practitioners].
