One night, I and another practitioner went to a village to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Local villagers turned us in to the authorities and we were forcibly taken to the local police station. At that time, one of the villagers insulted us and slapped each of us once on the face. Later, we heard, that in that area, anyone who reported a person distributing truth-clarifying materials would receive a monetary reward.
In the police station, the policemen were all very nasty. We constantly sent forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil elements manipulating them and kindly warned them that we were doing a good deed by telling people the truth about Falun Gong. We gave them the remaining materials we had. They read the truth-clarifying material and one policeman even asked us if there were any more. That night, we were detained in a reception room.
The next day, the City's "610 Office" [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and the Politics and Security brigade came and identified us. We were forcibly taken to the No.1 Detention Center.
In order to protest such unfair treatment, we went on a hunger strike. On the evening of the third day of our hunger strike, a guard named Qiu Rong cuffed my hands and legs so that I could not move and asked people to carry me out. Doctor Yan in the detention center injected me with drugs, giving no reason. I asked them not to inject me, but they refused to listen. I wanted to pull out the needle, but could not move. They untied me after the injection and carried me into a prison cell. At midnight, my body felt very itchy. On the fourth day of the hunger strike, the guards and the doctor asked people to pull us out of our cells to force-feed us, once a day. On the eighth day of the hunger strike, they forcibly gave us infusions. On the tenth day of the hunger strike, without any legal proceedings, the City "610 Office" sentenced me and two fellow practitioners to 18 months and 2 years of forced labor respectively and did not notify our family members. They told the guards to let us know before getting on the bus that we were being sent to a forced labor camp.
When we arrived at the forced labor camp we received a physical examination and each of us was deemed unqualified and refused entry.
We were brought back to the detention center, where we continued the hunger strike. Two days later, the doctor examined us and found that we were in very bad condition. The guards were afraid of bearing the responsibility for our deaths, so they hurriedly sent us to a hospital in the city for one day, but the "610 Office" refused to release us. The guards had to bring us back to the detention center, so we continued the hunger strike. One week later, we were released unconditionally.
In total, we were arrested, detained and persecuted for 21 days.
