From July 31 to August 4, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners in Singapore participated in the country's biggest consumer fair. It was estimated that about 300,000 people would visit the fair. We rented a booth there to sell Dafa books. Every day, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., we handed out Dafa truth-clarifying literature and materials to thousands of visitors and helped many Singaporeans and Chinese people to resolve their questions and misunderstandings about Falun Dafa. We also provided people who were interested in learning the exercises with detailed information.
During the five-day fair, the practitioners were also offered a good opportunity to demonstrate the five sets of Falun Gong exercises, nine times in total, on the central stage in the exhibition hall. Twelve Dafa practitioners wore specially designed exercise suits imprinted with words both in English and Chinese, "Falun Dafa is good," "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The practitioners' peacefulness and serenity attracted the attention of many visitors passing by.
The activity was quite successful, and the practitioners felt that we made good progress as a whole. We learned to use various ways to clarify the truth to local people. Through clarifying the truth at this fair, many people changed their attitude toward us, from being afraid of seeing us to showing surprise, understanding and happiness. One booth owner next to us said that he was not in favor of Falun Gong before because of the negative information in the newspaper. But after observing us during these days, he said, "You are good people. Falun Gong is good." Another booth owner happily accepted our materials and expressed that he would read them. One Chinese man dropped by on his way to the airport, and he was surprised to learn that we would demonstrate Falun Gong exercises on stage. He happily accepted our Dafa truth-clarifying materials.
