Lu Zhiyong, a policeman from Heishui County Linqu Public Security Sub-bureau was arrested by Xinhua Labor Camp in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. He suffered from severe persecution. His chest was full of water and his body grew thin. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis and the situation is very serious. He is now detained at the hospital in the labor camp.

The Third Team of the Sixth Brigade of Xinhua Labor Camp at Mianyang City specializes in detaining Dafa practitioners. The disciplinary cadres often make use of the excuse of so-called "rectifying order and strengthening discipline" to persecute Dafa practitioners. They force Dafa practitioners to sing "re-education" songs and to recite "re-education" regulations. If the practitioners refuse to follow, they will be severely disciplined. Everyday from 5 o'clock in the morning until midnight they are forced to stand upright without moving. They may be severely beaten or shocked with electric batons. On one occasion, a Dafa practitioner erased a phrase that was written on a blackboard that defamed Falun Dafa. The evil policeman immediately used electric batons to shock him. His mouth was burned with the shock of electric batons.

Meng Xiao, female, graduated from Anshan Steel Institute, and later held the position of the Section Chief of Chengdu Iron and Steel Corporation Limited (Clearwisdom Net posted her article, "My Personal Experience of Being Persecuted"). After two years' of inhumane persecution in jail, she was once again arrested by authorities of Chengdu Iron and Steel Factory on November 17, 2001 when she was released from jail, and was illegally detained in the Residential Protection Section of this factory for eight months since then. During this period of detention, she was escorted to Wenjiang Brainwashing Class and suffered from severe torture. They beat her until her lumbar vertebrae and coccyx were broken, and she became crippled. Meng Xiao went on a hunger strike for eight days in her feeble physical condition, protesting against Chengdu Iron and Steel Corporation for secretly setting up a jail to illegally detain and persecute her. On July 23, 2002, eight strong security guards of this company forcefully brought her to the company hospital to be force-fed with medicine. Her life is in great danger.

The few supervisors of her company spared no efforts in trampling the law and setting up a jail in private to persecute the innocent people so as to secure their own official positions. They dared to do whatever they please because they declared openly that this was "government" action. These unlawful officials dare to kill people and commit crime because they are supported by Jiang's regime.

We would like to appeal to all governments, people, and media around the world to show concern for the Jiang regime's new round of persecution against Falun Dafa practitioners. Please support Falun Gong by helping to stop the killing.

On February 2002, Dafa practitioners Wang Mingcai and Wang Haisen from Qiangang Commune, Nongan County traveled in a taxi to clarify the truth outside of town. But the police illegally arrested them and they were fined 10,000 Yuan. The policemen assured them that they would not be arrested again in the future. However a few days later, the policemen arrested them again. On the morning of February 19, the court trial began. The information was blocked from the public and only certain people were allowed to witness the trial. The court staff said that over 40 policemen from Changchun guarded the courthouse throughout the night. They did not even allow the neighboring gas station to open, fearing that Dafa practitioners might go there to clarify the truth. Also, there were two reporters from Changchun who attended the trial. Nongan County found two lawyers who were actually designated.

A dinner party was held in a city in Southern China by military policemen. One military policeman refused to drink alcohol despite the persuasion from his colleagues to drink. His colleague mocked him by asking, "Are you a Falun Gong practitioner?" The military policeman spoke out loudly, "I practiced Falun Gong in the past, and now I still practice Falun Gong! There is nothing wrong with 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.' What is wrong with Falun Gong when it teaches people to be good?" His words surprised all the policemen present at the dinner party. This Dafa practitioner continued to say, "Brothers, in the future when Falun Gong practitioners are distributing flyers, just pretend not to see them." Actually, his supervisor already knew that he was a Falun Gong practitioner.

1). The municipal government of Benxi City stipulated that for those who pass the entrance exam to go to college should send their archives to the police substation for political review. If it is discovered that they have family members who practice Falun Gong, they will be disqualified from attending college.

2). The municipal government decided to recruit a "joint defense staff" who would be paid a monthly salary of 300 Yuan. This staff is dressed in uniform, and is equipped with electric batons to patrol the community 24 hours a day. They will be formally employed on August 15.

3). The public security bureau ordered that all Falun Gong practitioners should fill out a registration form and submit two photos. The police took their fingerprints and kept their records in the computer. The purpose is to further persecute Falun Gong practitioners.

In April 2001, Falun Dafa practitioner Zhao Chenglin was illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor "re-education." He has been detained in the Benxi Forced Labor Camp since then. During the detention, Zhao Chenglin was almost tortured to death (it was exposed on Clearwisdom Net). Currently, he has been illegally detained for over four months past the end of his term. When his life was in danger, the Benxi Forced Labor Camp didn't give him any medical treatment. Instead, brutal torture instruments were employed in an attempt to force him to betray some of his fellow practitioners. Under the strong protest of Zhao Chenglin's family members, the Benxi Forced Labor Camp let up on him. However, Zhao Chenglin's lower limbs had already begun festering, and his head and chest were wounded seriously. He cannot take care of himself.

A Falun Dafa practitioner, whose family name is Chen, was transferred from the Dalian Forced Labor Camp to the Benxi Forced Labor Camp. Since Zhao Chenglin is very firm in cultivation practice, Liu Shaobao, the director of the Drug Addiction Treatment Center in the Benxi Forced Labor Camp, together with other policemen, brutally beat him up and tortured him mentally.

We, that is a few Falun Dafa practitioners from Guangan County of Sichuan Province, were illegally arrested for no reason during the New Year's holiday season this year at Xiaoquan, located on the south side of Chongqing City. The police illegally interrogated us for over a month and intended to extort a confession with torture. We were then detained in the Drug Addiction Treatment Center in the Dadukou Area. On February 25, the police said that they were going to give us a "certificate of release" and asked us to sign a document. In the document, there was a sentence saying, "forced labor re-education approved". We didn't cooperate with them. Therefore, two policemen shouted abuses, saying that they were going to detain us forever. Currently, we are all still being illegally detained in the Drug Addiction Treatment Center and suffer from inhumane treatment. We are provided with two liang (a Chinese weight unit, equal to 100g) of rice per meal together with clear vegetable soup. We are deprived of all our basic human rights and freedoms. There's no way for us to get in touch with our family members.

On July 5, the police in the Drug Addiction Treatment Center told us that we were going to be summoned for a discussion on the 8^th, and on the 10^th we were sent to the Maojiashan Female Forced Labor Camp with a two-year sentence. Practitioner Liu Shiying used to be detained together with us. On June 26, the police sent her to a detention center. It was said that she would be sentenced to five years in jail (she hasn't received the court's verdict yet). She is in the process of appealing.

Since June 10 of this year, the Etouwan Brainwashing Center in Hankou Area of Wuhan City has employed even more vicious means in its attempt to brainwash Falun Dafa practitioners. They deprive practitioners of sleep for 24 hours, make them stand for long periods of time, give them insufficient meals or no meals at all, monitor them even during meals or in the washroom, and prohibit them from talking to other practitioners. They have the collaborators like Liu Cuizhen and others [collaborators are those who once practiced but were forced to give up Falun Gong and even help in the persecution of steadfast practitioners] attempt to forcibly brainwash practitioners. Those who were arrested and sent to the brainwashing center were mainly elderly practitioners over 50 or 60 years old. Four of them were forced to stand for four days and nights. Their legs became swollen, yet they were not allowed to sit unless they agreed to write the so-called "three statements" (guarantees not to practice Falun Dafa any more).

Zhu Jin, the president of the Law Court in Hankou Area, is in charge of the brainwashing center. In order to force Falun Dafa practitioners to give up their belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, he brutally persecutes practitioners regardless of the law or any sense of morality.

The Xinxin Female Forced Labor Camp in Daxin County of Beijing City persecutes Falun Gong practitioners inhumanely. Practitioner Yang Hong was not allowed to go to bed for over 20 days because she refused to be brainwashed. She also had to suffer a torture position called "Riding an Airplane" and other tortures. ["Riding an Airplane" is a painful torture in which one's hands are bent to the back and are at 90^o against the wall; the head is lowered under the knees and buttocks is raised up to 90^o. When she woke up again, she was tortured for 30 more days. To punish the steadfast practitioners who refused to give up Falun Dafa, the police stripped them naked and beat them. Practitioners were given only two minutes to use the washroom. Prisoners were instructed to beat some practitioners and forced them to stand up when they were only half way through relieving themselves in the washroom.

Class One of Team Four in the Xi'an Forced Labor Camp tortures Falun Dafa practitioners with an iron helmet and fetters. One practitioner had them on for one and a half months. Some practitioners were detained in small black cases in which they could not straighten their backs or legs. A practitioner in Class Two of Team Four was given electric shocks until the skin on both his hands was gone. The police here also attempted to force practitioners to kneel down on the floor before meals, showing their "gratitude" to the officers. Otherwise, a beating followed. Falun Gong practitioner Zhao Li was not allowed to have any meals since she didn't cooperate with their evil demands. She was beaten up and afterwards had blood in her stool. Some practitioners were forced to stand all day for several months because they refused to be brainwashed. Their feet were painfully swollen as result.

It has been reported that in early December 2001, a practitioner from another province went to Sichuan Province alone in order to support the truth-clarifying work there and help more people know the truth about Falun Dafa. In January 2002, through various sources, it was confirmed that he was missing. Most likely something unexpected occurred. His whereabouts are unknown and whether he is alive or dead is also unsure.

Pi County in Chengdu City, is the location of the Chengdu Detention Center, a demon's den, specially designed for detaining and persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners. Its evils have been exposed on Clearwisdom Net many times. It has been reported that some practitioners have been detained there permanently since they refuse to give their names or addresses. Whether they are alive or dead is unknown.

Around July 19, a fellow practitioner, Jin Cheng (alias), who made Falun Gong truth-clarifying material in Weihai City was arrested by police right after he met another practitioner named Xiao Pan (alias) at their designated place. His lodging place was then ransacked and some equipment and a large sum of money were confiscated. The loss was enormous. We have lost contact with many fellow practitioners since then.

In June, Dafa practitioners in Xiantao City including Zhang Yuzhi and her husband were illegally arrested when distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying literature in Zhanggou. At the end of July, Dafa practitioners Zhu Shouqing and Lao Yang were arrested when distributing truth-clarifying literature in Tonghaikou Township. Zhu Shouqing has been arrested four times. Altogether he has been illegally detained for more than half a year.

Some Dafa practitioners from the Xiantao area are being detained in Shayang Forced Labor Camp in Hubei Province. Some of the practitioners being illegally held include Liu Xiong, Hu Jianguo, Huang Qiaoyun (female), Chen Ye (female), Xiang Yanrong (female) and Zhao Shuizhen (female).

14. [Hubei Province] Send Forth Righteous Thoughts to Eliminate Evil Elements in Other Dimensions That Are Damaging Dafa in Wuhan and Xiantao Area

Before July 20, 1999, Dafa practitioners in Wuhan were used to communicating with fellow practitioners in the Xiantao Area. Currently, the situation in the Wuhan area is extremely dangerous and vicious due to the persecution. Zhao Zhifei is in charge of the "610 Office"[An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems]. He was sued in the U.S. for human rights violations and is taking out his anger on local Dafa practitioners. Police wantonly arrest practitioners outside of parks and in the court. Police stations and neighborhood administration offices keep Dafa practitioners under tight surveillance. Many material sites are no longer around and a fellow practitioner who made truth-clarifying materials has been arrested. The authorities have intensified control over all Internet cafes.

Since April 2002, police in Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province, have arrested almost 60 Falun Gong practitioners. They were subjected to unjust treatment including being illegally detained for a long time, sent to a forced labor camp or sentenced to imprisonment.

(I) Shuiquan Town:

1. Bai Yuexun, male, less than 17 years old

Without any evidence, police arrested him when he was sleeping in his home. He was detained for 15 days in the Shuangcheng No.2 Detention Center. His parents were forced to become homeless, traveling about to avoid police capture.

(II) Nongfeng Township:

1. Geng Yufen, female, over 50 years old

Under the pretense of detaining her brother-in-law (a non-practitioner), police deceived Geng into coming out and then sent her to a detention center.

2. Liu Xiuru, female, over 30 years old

She was arrested in her home by vicious people and detained for almost 3 months.

3. Tong Fuhua, female, over 40 years old

She was arrested and is currently being held in the Shuangcheng No.2 Detention Center.

4. Zhao Xia, female, about 20 years old

She was forcibly taken away from home by vile people and was sentenced to forced labor. She is currently detained in the evil Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City.

5. Yu Fenghua, female, about 40 years old

She was forcibly abducted from her home by vile people and sentenced to forced labor. She is currently detained in the evil Wanjia Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City.

6. Chen Yunxia, female, almost 40 years old

She was arrested in her home and is being held in Shuangcheng City No.2 Detention Center. Police brutally tortured her and broke her five fingers. She lost consciousness for 5 hours due to the severe pain.

7. Pan Zhifeng, male, over 20 years old, worked as a teacher in Nongfeng County Middle School.

He was arrested after being tricked into going to the school from his home. Pan was held in Shuangcheng City No.2 Detention Center. The local villians once used him to fabricate propaganda. They tried twice to send him to the forced labor camp in Harbin City, but failed. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

8. Fu Rao, male, about 40 years old worked as a teacher in the Nongfeng County Middle School.

He was accosted in school by vile people and then arrested. He was held in the Shuangcheng City No.2 Detention Center. His family members wished to visit him, but were unjustly prohibited from doing so. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

On December 12, 2001, three policemen and one policewoman from Wenquan Chalukou Police Station in Xianning intruded and ransacked my home. They pulled out a piece of paper, which they claimed was a "search warrant," and asked me to sign my name on it, but I refused. Then they forcibly ransacked my home, and confiscated several books and a telephone book.

In almost an hour, these policemen came back again. This time, they brought an additional seven or eight people. They ransacked my home again and forcibly took my computer away. They confiscated our money and property without giving us any receipt. In addition, my husband was forced to leave home and live in exile. The "610 Office" and the police department not only forcibly took our grain, but also denied my husband's monthly unemployment compensation of 300 Yuan RMB (500 Yuan is the average monthly salary in urban China). They asked me for the whereabouts of my husband, and went everywhere to search for him. Only my one and half -year-old son and I were left at home, and our life has become very difficult. Many practitioners in Wenquan of Xianning City have suffered similar persecution. Now my son cannot see his father. My family was broken apart due to the persecution of Jiang's regime. Without the persecution, our family would be together in happiness.

Chen Dijian, from Chalukou Police Station in Xianning City, Hubei Province viciously persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. In order to gain politically and extort money and property from Dafa practitioners and their work units, he uses whichever method works. He has committed numerous crimes, in collusion with the head of the police station, Bai Yuping, and Liu Jinxi, an official from a construction company. When he can not get money, he takes a group of people to break into Dafa practitioners' home in the middle of the night and takes their property including TVs, VCD players, and boom boxes.

On one occasion, Chen Jiandi and Zhou Jianyong, an employee of the construction company, kicked and broke the door lock of a Dafa practitioner's house while nobody was at home. They recklessly rummaged through the practitioner's home. Seeing this, the neighbors said they were like bandits.

Zhao Gaoji from Xianning City Construction Company wanted to get promoted and used the persecution of Falun Gong as a way to pursue his goal. When he recognized Dafa practitioners who worked in other units visit the construction company for official business, he would immediately report them to the police station. Now, people with upright minds have clearly seen his despicable nature.
