After being kidnapped and sent into jail, the police would ask the practitioners, "Do you agree with the country's punishment [of you]?" If the answer is "no," the practitioners would be shocked with electric batons. The police would even insert the batons into the female practitioners' private areas to shock them.

Fu Xiaoyun, female, was over 50 years of age. She was a Falun Dafa practitioner from Wuhan City. In June 2002, Fu Xiaoyun was abducted and forced to attend the Jianghan brainwashing class, where she began a hunger strike in protest. However, brainwashing class officials continued to torture her until she was at her last breath. Realizing that she was going to die, they hastily sent her home. Fu Xiaoyun passed away on August 6, 2002.

Falun Dafa Practitioner Wei Chaozong from Suning County, Cangzhou, Hebei Province was sent to the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp on May 1, 2002. After three months of brutal torture, he was released in terrible physical condition. A few days later, he died on August 10, 2002.
