
According to a Sing Tao Daily report on September 28, Sina Net, one of the most popular Chinese websites, displayed the Falun Dafa Minghui Net [the Chinese version of Clearwisdom Net] homepage yesterday. No matter who was responsible, they were peacefully resisting Jiang's Internet blockade and deluding policies. This was also a peaceful protest against related websites that only look at financial benefits and ignore righteousness.

Liu Guihua, female, a retired teacher from Yong An Township, Jidong City, Heilongjiang Province, was tortured to death on August 3, 2002.
Ms. Liu Guihua was sent to Jidong Detention Center from Beijing by the Jidong Police Department in August 1999. Numerous reports since the ban of Falun Gong in 1999 have illustrated how the Chinese government disregard its international human rights commitments in its attempt with brutal means to crush a movement which is characterized by peaceful, non-violent behavior.

Mr. Brian Cowen, TD, Minister for Foreign Affairs, has instructed me to inform you that the Irish Government takes the human rights concerns of Falun Gong members in China very seriously. Both the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) and the Minister have raised this issue on a number of occasions with the Chinese authorities.
