No matter what journey it is, there is always an end. It is only a matter of time. However, where one ends up after a journey is very different.
My understanding is that Dafa disciples, who have endured countless hardships with righteous actions and righteous thoughts, will reach consummation and return with Teacher. Those who lacked righteous beliefs and gave up in the middle, will suffer from their endless regrets. Those who missed the opportunity will blame themselves and at the same time try to make up for their losses. These are still the good ones. Those who did evil things against Dafa will face terror and hopelessness at the end of the journey.
Teacher said, "There's only a short while left; once the Fa-rectification of the human world begins, the positioning of people will be set." (Touring North America to Teach the Fa)
Teacher also said, "The cosmos's reality will manifest in the near future, and at that time whether we have done well or poorly will be set--however things went will be set." ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.")
When I read "The endless journey has come to a close" ("New Year's Greetings from Master"), I asked myself that if the end of the journey is right in front of me right now, can I say that I am worthy of facing Teacher? Am I worthy of the sentient beings in my cosmos? Teacher said, "You are Gods, and you are the future rulers of different cosmoses" ("Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A."). Do I possess the virtue and mightiness of a God? Can I take up the heavy responsibilities of a ruler?
I know this is not everyday people's self-examination and no one wants to hear it. However we must guide ourselves with "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" because Teacher wants us to truly reach consummation. Therefore, it is good to often ask ourselves this question so that we don't have regrets when the day comes.
