(Clearwisdom.net) Where did I come from and where am I heading?
I came from "reputation, self-interest, and sentimentality" and I am heading towards "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
When I was held in a detention center, an inmate said to me, "Falun Gong is good. However, Falun Gong does not allow me to steal anymore, and this will not do."
I do not quote him to mock him at all. Before I started cultivation, I lived just for reputation, self-interest, and sentimentality. Any infringement on my vested interests would be the same as taking away my life. Those personal interests were things that I had stubbornly embraced in my life. However, one who wants to cultivate needs to let go of his attachments. For an everyday person, giving up these attachments would be worse than dying.
Now, as a cultivator, I have let go of these things and I am quite happy. Furthermore, at a time when my reputation, self-interest, and sentimentality can be hurt, and while I face the terror of being arrested, beaten, and sentenced to a labor camp, I still put all my of energy, resources and wisdom to the best use to clarify the truth and save people. This is another process of rebirth. Letting go of attachments and going towards Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is a process of rebirth .
"Why did Fa-rectification have to be done? Because the beings in the cosmos no longer met the standard." ("Dafa is Indestructible," Essentials for Further Advancement II)
Those beings that do not meet the standard of Dafa are heading down a path leading to destruction. It is Master who has saved me with great benevolence and the mighty virtue of Dafa. Dafa has encompassed me. Dafa has not only saved me from destruction, but has taken me towards eternal life. This is just my understanding of "a process of resurrection" in Master's article "In Reference to a Prophecy." (Essentials for Further Advancement II)
