On January 14, 2003, female Dafa practitioner Ms. Li Juxia, Aunt San, Xiao Min, and six other Dafa practitioners, from Jize County, Hebei Province were arrested from their practice site by Jiao Hongbin, the director of Xiaozhai Township's Police Precinct in Jize County. Lawless policemen of Jize County's Police Department aided and abetted in this crime. This is the third time that Li Juxia and the Aunt San were illegally detained. [China] Dafa Practitioners Xu Na, Gao Feng, Li Liang and Li Hong are Illegally Sentenced to Forced Labor

On August 2001, Ms. Xu Na, a Dafa practitioner from the Fangshan District in Beijing was illegally arrested. She was sentenced to five years of imprisonment, but she remains steadfast to her belief.

Mr. Gao Feng, from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province was arrested at the end of November 2000. He was illegally sentenced to four years of imprisonment.

Mr. Li Liang, from Tianjing City, was arrested at the end of November 1999. He was sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor. As he did not yield to the evils, his term was already extended three times and eventually reached three years of imprisonment, which was the longest forced labor term. After he was sent to a brainwashing class, his whereabouts have been unknown. His sister, Ms. Li Hong, had been illegally put in a forced labor camp for two years. Last year before October 1, she was again sent to a forced labor camp for two and a half years.

At noon of January 29, 2003 (two days before Chinese Spring Festival), several lawless policemen from Jinzhou City's Lingnan Police Precinct in Liaoning Province unreasonably broke into Dafa practitioner Mr. Ma Haichao's home, kidnapped him and his parents-in-law who were visiting him and took them to Jinzhou City's Detention Center. After being illegally detained for half a month, he was transferred to Jinzhou City's No.1 Detention Center. In order to resist the evil persecution, Ma Haichao went on a hunger strike for several days. Now his situation is very critical.

Officials in the Jinjiang District of Chendu City, Sichuan Province relentlessly persecute Dafa practitioners. At the beginning of September 2002, they set up a brainwashing center, named "Jinjiang District's Law Training Class," which is located in the former Drug Rehabilitation Center of the 110th Violence Defense Team at Chengren Road in Chendu City. Nine practitioners used to be detained there and five practitioners are still illegally detained at this location. Among them, two male Dafa practitioners have been locked up over 70 days without permission to contact anyone outside the center just because they insisted on clarifying the truth to the vicious officials.

The two male Dafa practitioners are Mr. Qiu Taikun, 72 years old, a senior engineer, and Mr. Jia Zhijun, 54 years old, an old ex-serviceman.

Three other Dafa practitioners are females; Ms. Yan Ruizhen, 62 years old, Ms. Xiao Guiying, 50 years old and Ms. Tang Pilan, 62 years old.

In order to prevent Dafa practitioners from practicing the exercises or going on a hunger strike, the brainwashing center equipped every cell with an electronic monitor and "tapping" machine. The officials even ordered doctors to prepare utensils for force-feeding.

The person previously in charge of the center is Bao Bin, director of Jinjiang District's Justice Bureau. The person in charge at present is Director Guo (or Ge).

Since July 22, 1999, government officials and police from Donggang City have relentlessly persecuted local Dafa practitioners. They often ransack practitioners' homes, kidnap practitioners, force them to write the so-called "Repentance Statement" and "Disassociation Statement," force them to supply fingerprints on documents, hold surveillance stake-outs at certain spots to arrest practitioners, follow them, tear down Dafa flyers, routinely threaten Dafa practitioners and torture practitioners both physically and mentally. The policemen's words and deeds are extremely vile and they often slander Dafa and practitioners.

At the beginning of September 1999, in order to intensify the persecution, the local police applied a series of means to arrest Dafa practitioners in Dagushan Town, Donggang City. There was a fabricated article allegedly written by Master circulating among practitioners saying, "On the morning of September 9, all Dafa practitioners should bring their clothes and go outside to see the cosmic changes," etc. Most Dafa practitioners were not moved by the vicious policemen's evil deed of deliberately destroying Dafa and they knew that it was the conspiracy of the local government and police, so they didn't go out. However, some practitioners were deceived into going out. The police drove up in their police wagon and arrested all practitioners on the street. They forcibly took the practitioners to the police department without going through any procedures. On that day, they arrested 18 Falun Gong practitioners. The practitioners were extremely determined, and the police were unable to shake their faith. Seeing that none of the practitioners compromised, the lawless government officials were furious and ordered policemen to forcibly send them to a detention center and later on transferred them to a custody center. They tortured Dafa practitioners both physically and mentally for as long as 45 days.

At midnight of December 17, 2002, according to the Chinese lunar calendar, veteran Dafa practitioner Fu Zhenyu, a farmer from Fuying Village, Dusi Township, Dengzhou City, Henan Province, was awakened by a loud noise of hammering on his door. Right after that, a group of policemen climbed in (who claimed to be from Dengzhou City's Police Department and Dousi Township's Police Station). They punched and kicked Mr. Fu and arrested him. They even beat and cursed Mr. Fu's wife. Without showing any search warrant, they turned the house upside down.

[Dengzhou City, Henan Province] Persecution Experience of Dafa Practitioner Fu Xiuyun

Dafa Practitioner Ms. Fu Xiuyun from Dengzhou City, a laid off worker, has been forced to leave home and go from place to place for 22 months to avoid persecution, simply because she persisted in cultivating Falun Dafa.

Ms. Fu Xiuyun and her husband are both laid off workers. There are very poor. The husband had to earn a living by providing tricycle taxi service. Ms. Fu had begun cultivating because of an illness.

From December 2000 to April 2001, Dengzhou City's Police Department held a four-month long brainwashing class. Dozens of Dafa practitioners were arrested. Fu Xiuyun and another two practitioners had steadfast belief in Dafa and refused to compromise. The vicious personnel attempted to intensify the persecution by sending them to a forced labor camp. With a righteous mind, Fu Xiuyun walked out of the brainwashing class to resist the evil persecution. She was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution. A happy and harmonious family was thus torn apart by the current political scoundrel's regime. In order to avoid the vicious policemen's harassment, Fu's husband left home and went to another place to earn a living. Their only son was sent to his grandfather's home in the countryside. Similar family situations are countless in China.

The deputy secretary said, "Running out of money? Let's get two people."

The director had a hesitant expression on his face, "The Police Department and National Security Bureau are a little afraid of arrest." (Because almost all practitioners they know had been arrested, and they have no idea whom they should arrest again)

Note: Every brainwashing class held by the "610 Office" all over the country is composed of a gang of ruffians. Part of these people's salaries and bonuses comes from funds specially allotted by the Treasury Department and part of it is paid from the fines they extort from Dafa practitioners. This gang is very well paid. Not only do they have a salary but also overtime pay and bonuses.
