Seventy-Year-Old Retirees Detained, Pregnant Woman Forced to Have Abortion

Wang Lei, female, 33 years old, is employed by Mudanjiang Water Company. She was pregnant when the "610 Office" took her to the brainwashing center. The Party Secretary at her workplace conspired with the city police, the "610 Office", and her husband's workplace to pressure her. They claimed that she could go home only if she had an abortion, or else she would be detained at the brainwashing center. Wang and her husband decided that they would keep the baby even if they both lost their jobs. Wang's workplace, however, insisted she have an abortion; they even pressured Wang's parents and uncles. Wang's husband was taken to the city police station and tortured for two days and two nights. Under this intense pressure, Ms. Wang was forced to have an abortion.

Yang Lianwu, around 70 years old, is a retired engineer from the Neijiang City Textile Factory in Sichuan Province. He used to have many diseases, however after becoming a Falun Dafa practitioner, not only were his diseases cured, but his gray hair turned black. His wife, a doctor, was deeply moved by the miracle of Falun Dafa, so she started cultivating with her husband.
