(Clearwisdom.net) From 10:00 a.m. on May 10 --10:00 a.m. May 11, 2003,
a "Relay for Life" Event organized by Sydney Cancer Research Committee was held in Rofe Park, Hornsby Heights, North Sydney, Australia. By invitation of a sponsor and provincial MP, Sydney Falun Gong practitioners participated in this community activity. Falun Gong practitioners and local people walked or jogged along the relay route. At noon to 1:30 p.m., the practitioners gave a 40-minute performance on the stage including exercise demonstration, and Chinese Tang Dynasty Costume performance. Western practitioner Games, a former cancer patient, shared his benefits from Falun Dafa, and his personal miraculous experience of having his cancer cured without medical treatment.
People were amazed by the practitioners' wonderful performances. They remained and had conversations with practitioners after the performances were over.
A Western elderly man came to our booth and said to practitioners, "Wonderful, I've been to many places in the world, but I have never seen such beautiful costume dance performance." Two Western musical instrumental performers came over and expressed their great interest in learning to practice Falun Gong, and decided to join their local practice site to learn Falun Gong after they returned home. They asked practitioners to tell them why such a good practice was not accepted by the Chinese people? The practitioners told them that it is not that the Chinese people don't accept Falun Gong, but just because there are too many people practicing Falun Gong, within six to seven years, more than 100 million people practiced it, the number was more that the total members of the ruling Party. Out of excessive selfishness and jealousy, the Jiang regime launched the suppression of Falun Dafa and Dafa practitioners. In the past four years, over 690 cases of Falun Gong practitioners who have been tortured to death have been published on website overseas.
Hornsby community broadcasting station conducted a 24-hour live report on the activity, and over 100,000 people viewed it.
