(Clearwisdom.net) On April 9, 2001, I was diagnosed with conjunctivitis and my vision decreased from 1.5 to 0.15. The doctor at Masanjia warned me, "If you continue to work, you will lose your vision. You should not do machine work; your eyes need rest." Taking the doctor's advice, I applied to be cleared from machine work. It took a long time for the head of my squad to approve it.
On May 17, 2002, they again transferred me from the First Female Section to the Second Female Section. Zhang Xiurong, the former head of my branch squad in 2000, was promoted to the head of the Second Squad for her "achievements" in reforming and beating practitioners. Wang Nanming was promoted to the Vice Head of the Second Female Section.
Soon after I arrived, I developed severe vertigo. It was difficult for me to walk since I often lost strength in my right leg and, later, became crippled. I had to depend on other people to bring meals to me. This situation lasted for seven months.
Practitioner Han Yanwen firmly resisted the persecution. On July 31, 2002, the police dragged her away. Then several other firm practitioners were dragged away in the next few days. Practitioner Yu Rong from Fuxin could not do the drill because she was shocked for an entire night, when she was in Fuxin Forced Labor Camp, and developed a heart problem. The head of the squad then extended her sentence another month. In the First Female Section, the police forced practitioner Song Guiyan, sixty years old from Fuxin, to squat 24 hours a day for as long as one month and caused her to develop bone spurs. She became crippled and was in unbearable pain. Yet, the police still would not let her go and forced her to do the drill everyday. My eyes were often painful from the poor vision and needed rest. However, they would not let me rest and threatened to extend my sentences. The police and the transformed people said that they would send some typical practitioners to Dabei Prison.
On August 22, 2002, the camp held a meeting to announce the arrests of three firm practitioners who had been resisting the unreasonable regulations of the camp. They were Li Limin from the Town of Bayi in Sujiatun, Shenyang City, Song Caihong from Hulutao, and Li Dongqing. Like myself, they had been shocked many times yet still very firm in their beliefs. When Sun, the head of the camp, called to bring these three practitioners to the stage, many firm practitioners stood up and shouted "Falun Dafa is good". At this time, many police came to pull the practitioners' hair, block their mouths, and forcefully lock them into small cells to torture them. The police extended their sentences from one to ten months. After, the police sent the three practitioners to Dabei Prison. I heard that practitioner Jiang Wei from Chaoyang was persecuted into insanity and incontinence. Jiang Wei used to be very smart and capable. She owned and managed a large restaurant in Chaoyang before being persecuted. Yet the camp reduced her into such a condition that she had to be sent to a mental hospital. Her sentence was due on October 7, 2002.
In April and May 2002, I wrote four letters to the heads of the squad Zhang Xiurong and Zhou Qian and the two heads of the branch squad. I explained the facts about Falun Gong. I found out that they punished me by extending my sentence for an additional three months. On October 7, 2002, when I was due for release, my brother came to pick me up. Upon hearing the news, he almost collapsed. Since the camp had rumor about "beating to death [of practitioners] will be counted as suicide", I told my brother, "no matter how they torture me in the camp, I would never commit suicide. Should I die in the camp, I must have been beaten to death." They only gave us 10 minutes to talk and the police, beside us, constantly interrupted our conversation.
When I asked why they were doing so, the head of the squad locked me into a small cell. They forced me to sit on the iron chair for ten days and nights. I called the small cell "prison in prison" where the head of the squad was very evil. They only allowed us to go to the toilet twice a day. My first night there, since I drank a little too much water, I had to use the toilet. But the head ignored my repeated requests. At that time, my left hand and arm were cuffed into the iron cage, my feet were restricted (by the iron cage), and my chest was against the iron cover. I had very little room to move and had to sit like this 24 hours a day. After mid October, when the weather became colder, many practitioners in the small cells had no warm clothing and endured brutal late night cold. During the time when I was tortured in the small cell, about eight or nine other practitioners were also tortured there. Most of them were confined here because of refusing to do the punishing physical labor.
One practitioner developed urinary problems here. However, the head refused to allow her to use the toilet despite her repeated pleas. Finally when she was allowed to use the toilet, she could not urinate for a long time. Yet the head beside her ordered her to hurry up. On my second day in the small cell, I had to start a hunger strike in order to protest the torture. After three days of conducting the hunger strike, the head of my branch squad came to bring me back. At that time, my hands were severely swollen from the cuffing and my legs were also swollen. I felt like walking on cotton and could not use any strength. The next day, my hands and legs were painful like being stung by bamboo sticks. Other people had to carry me to the toilet. I could not sleep at night. The swelling gradually went away after more than three weeks.
In November, a month after the Party's 16th Congress, the Second Female Section held another round of inhuman brainwashing and reformation. They did not allow the practitioners to sleep and arranged the transformed people to take turns brainwashing the practitioners. They tried to make the practitioners extremely tired and muddleheaded so that the practitioners would give up their beliefs against their will. When the police failed, they started to torture the practitioners by making them squat, by tying their legs in the double-lotus position for long periods of time, and by refusing to let the practitioners use the toilet. They also sent some practitioners to the special "Reformation Group" formed by people from Shenyang, Benxi, Fushun, and Jinzhou. There, they tortured the practitioners even more severely. Some practitioners could not bear it after a couple of weeks and signed "reformation statements" against their will.
On December 22, they started to brainwash me. I broke their lies with the truth of Falun Dafa. Failing to transform me, the head of my squad took me to the "Reformation Group" of Benxi City. First they asked a former practitioner who now helped persecute us to brainwash me. I did not listen to her. Then Guo, a squad head of Benxi Forced Labor Camp, said to me, "Do you know why we are in a hurry to transform you? Let me tell you, the Chairman of Liaoning Province Judicial Bureau and the Chief of Liaoning Province Procurator personally went to Masanjia and said, 'Those who do not transform cannot be released when their sentences are due and will be sent to Dabei Prison.'" I knew that this was an escalation of oppression of Falun Gong after the Party's 16th Congress.
I was firm in my conviction that I would never change my path of cultivation again no matter where they sent me. Then, Guo cuffed my hands from the back and forced me to squat in a corner. Because my shoes and the floor were all slippery, I could not hold the position. He took off my shoes and forced me to sit on the floor. He crossed my legs into the double-lotus position and put a sponge between my back and the wall so that I could not straighten my back. I had to bend my head and back. He then pushed a bed against my legs so that my legs became stuck and I felt suffocated. I kept silent, reciting Teacher's articles. I began to sweat after a while. He pulled out a dirty sheet and covered my head with it. He insulted me and laughed at me. I kept silent. He left the room after a while. My legs were so painful. They felt as if they were about to break. I used my full strength to uncross my legs. When the guard returned, he shouted at me to cross my legs again. Seeing that he had completely lost his conscience, I solemnly warned him not to do any more evil deeds. Upon hearing my words, although still talking evil, he did not ask me to cross my legs again. Soon, he opened my handcuffs and sent me back to my branch squad around 10 p.m.
On December 30, the head of my branch squad took me to a secret room where they blocked all the windows and doors. This room was used just to torture Dafa practitioners. She ordered me to squat for the whole morning without moving or going to the toilet. After lunch, they made me squat for the entire afternoon. The head came back that evening and asked me whether I had thought it through. I told her, "It is no use even if you let me squat for ten days." She said, "We will send you to Dabei Prison. The first thing you need to pass is squatting. I just let you practice a little bit to set up a foundation. Otherwise I could not bear to send you there." At 9 p.m., they told me that I could sleep. Since September 2002, the police in the Female Second Section have been torturing us while forcing us to watch slandering videotapes from morning till evening. The practitioners on the first floor could often hear miserable crying and screaming. Although we could not see what kind of tortures the police were using, we could imagine the extent of their evil methods. One practitioner's arm was broken and she could not put on clothing by herself. Someone had to help her to use the toilet. Another practitioner became crippled and could not use her hands because of the pain she was in. She also had trouble to pull her pants when using the toilet and received scolds and mockery from the traitors watching beside her. Cui Yaning from Jinzhou resisted the evil by refusing to do the drill, sing songs, and memorize the camp's rules. The police punished her by making her stand for seven days and nights continuously. They locked her in a secret room. One day, I saw that she was carried by two traitors to the toilet room. It was extremely difficult for her to walk.
On December 18, 2002, the head of my squad took me to Shenyang Medical University Hospital for an eye exam. I was diagnosed with optic nerve damage. I was diagnosed with neural deafness on April 9, 2000. My hearing was perfect before the persecution. Yet now, I often have tinnitus and vertigo.
On January 22, 2003, I was finally released. However, there are still many practitioners suffering various inhuman tortures and mental pressures in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. I would like to do my best, along with other practitioners, to rescue the persecuted practitioners.
