(Clearwisdom.net) June 11th report: Xinhua Net, the Chinese ruling Party's mouthpiece, recently cooked up a social commentary in which it launched another Cultural Revolution-style attack against Falun Gong, using SARS as the cause of blame.
We all know how SARS spread in China and to foreign countries, leading to hundreds of deaths. This happened because Jiang's regime covered up the epidemic during the Sixteenth Congress last year and during the Two Conferences this year. The title of the Xinhua Net's article reads, "Impervious to the Sense of Justice." I think this is reminding all of us of the true nature of the Jiang group's cover-up of the epidemic and their usual callousness toward human life.
The article is filled with Cultural Revolution-style slander and invectives. Other than the old accusation of being one of the "anti-China forces," this article also accuses Falun Gong practitioners of "attempting to send people into the hospitals that treat SARS patients, and then carry and spread the virus throughout the nation."
As a news website, why doesn't Xinhua Net include witnesses and physical evidence supporting this big accusation? Wouldn't it be considered slander without any evidence at all to back it up? Jiang's group is the culprit for the spread of SARS because of their cover-up, and this is widely known. The claim of "attempting to ...carry and spread the virus throughout the nation" is more brazen than the lies of Zhang Wenkang, the former Chinese health minister who was just sacked from his post. Even Iraq's former information minister Al-Sahhaf can't compare. It will certainly become a classic like the "ten thousand jin of wheat production in one-acre of land." [This is a classic lie broadcast by the Xinhua News Agency during the Great Leap Forward movement in the 1960's. It later became a common joke among the people.]
Xinhua Net also claims, "Facing this sudden disaster, social stability is of critical importance. The Central Party Committee and the State Council took charge and calmly made scientific, wise decisions..."
How shameless. The "Central Party Committee" of Jiang's regime has always used "social stability" as an excuse to persecute the innocent. When SARS broke out, they again used "social stability" to cover it up, which led to hundreds of deaths and hundreds of people being infected. In the end, these lies were exposed, and the Party was widely condemned by the international community, so it had no choice but to admit this fact. However, Xinhua Net is calling it "taking charge and calmly making scientific, wise decisions."
Xinhua Net claims they must "rely on the power of science and a scientific attitude." Does covering up SARS constitute this so-called "scientific attitude"? Xinhua Net ridicules Falun Gong's effect on healing illnesses and improving immunity. Have they conducted any investigation? According to a Reuter's report on May 21st, scientists verified through brain scans that meditation can make people happy, serene and calm. The January 20th issue of Time presented an in-depth discussion of the most recent scientific discoveries in the "body-mind relationship." For example, scientists found that people who suffered from both depression and heart disease are four to six times more likely to die from cardiovascular disease than people who only had heart disease. Western science is also gradually discovering the relationship between mental and physical health. We should know that giants in the history of science such as Sir Isaac Newton and James C. Maxwell were both pious Christians, and Erwin Schrodinger in particular admired Eastern mysticism. There are also many religious people among the modern scientists.
Xinhua Net took portions from Minghui Net's content and twisted them around. If Jiang's regime is really on the righteous side, why do they block access to Minghui Net in China? Why do they dare not to let the people of China to have a look at Minghui Net for themselves?
Regarding the epidemic, different religions and spiritual practices have their own views. Ms. Muoli said in a recent article published on the Epoch Times, "During the spread of SARS, many Christian churches held prayer gatherings. Christians think of themselves as having the 'original sin.' They regard people's sins as the cause of plagues, therefore they need to sincerely ask for God's salvation. Similarly, many Buddhists also believe that the cause behind the spread of SARS is people's disbelief in Buddha, and it's an evil retribution for people who take lives at will." Ms. Muoli asked, "If both Christianity and Buddhism can interpret the cause of SARS with their religious principles, why can't Falun Gong?" In fact, religions and spiritual practices advocate retribution and salvation in order to guide people toward goodness and keep them from committing evil. This is an act of benevolence. However, those at Xinhua Net regard them as targets for attack. The truth is that the spiritual void in China has led to the present moral degeneration. The rulers who only advocate fighting have brought countless disasters upon the Chinese people, including the SARS epidemic.
As always, Falun Gong practitioners will clarify the truth to the Chinese people with pure compassion, so the people won't be deceived again by the Jiang regime's lies.
