(Clearwisdom.net) The "610 Office" [a bureau specifically created by the Chinese government to persecute Falun Gong. It has absolute power over each level of administration in the Party, as well as over the political and judiciary branches] of Hongshan District in Wuhan City established a brainwashing center in a rural area of Jiufeng. Immediately following the Chinese New Year in 2003, government staff workers detained 39 practitioners. The government implemented a program in Wuhan City whereby if every practitioner was caught and sent to the brainwashing center, the center would be awarded 6000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the monthly salary for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan] by the government. Each wave of arrests lasted for about a month.
On the evening of April 10th, the policemen of Huashan Town Police Station and the staff working for Huashan Town's "610 office" in Hongshan District set out in three vehicles to unlawfully arrest Dafa practitioner Li Juilan in an effort to meet the brainwashing center's quota. Li Jiulan was adamant in her refusal to cooperate with the police and 610 agents. Her husband, a non-practitioner, debated with the police and wouldn't allow them to take her away. Her child grabbed her leg and cried loudly during the argument. The noises alerted the villagers who then came to protest against the police and the 610 agents. Several villagers pushed their way through the policemen to remove Dafa practitioner Li Jiulan from the police car. The event lasted for about half an hour.
People Awaken to the Truth
On May 8th and 9th, an electric power company truck was observed displaying an eye-catching poster that read: "Falun Dafa is good". As the truck made its way from downtown to the village's work zone, the employees inside the truck all shouted loudly: "Falun Dafa is good! Quite right! Good!". Although the driver and the other passengers weren't practitioners, pedestrians all the same were eager and excited to see them. Dafa practitioners were so happy for the people who had awakened, and gave them their blessings.
