On July 20, 2003, more than 5000 Falun Gong practitioners attended the 2003 Washington DC Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference. They were representatives from North America, Taiwan, Europe, Australia and other locations. Master Li Hongzhi came to the different conference sites in person and lectured on the Fa in the main conference site.

The parade passed through scenic spots where tourists gathered in Wiener Staatsoper, Hofburg, Heldenplatz and Stephanskirche.
