On June 18, 1999, more than one thousand practitioners left Benxi City, located in eastern Liaoning Province, and started their torturous journey to appeal for Falun Dafa in Beijing. Scores of Benxi policemen set up many obstacles and detained train No. 28 in the Shenyang Station headed toward Beijing for over an hour. After their sweeping searches, over 500 practitioners broke through the blockade and arrived in Beijing on June 19, 1999.

As a form of truth-clarification, this is not a problem, but as a Dafa practitioner, sometimes I feel that in quite a number of such appeals there exists an everyday person's mentality of hoping everyday people or overseas practitioners will uphold justice on our behalf.

Yan Guangliang is the security department chief of the passenger transportation section in Shijiazhuang Railway's Public Security Sub-bureau. In order to gain political capital, he has detained, followed, and framed Dafa practitioners. He has sent them to forced labor camps, and even colluded with the notorious Hebei Provinical brainwashing center to forcibly brainwash them.
