(Clearwisdom.net July 30) Dafa practitioner Mr. Bai Xiaojun, a teacher at the Northeast Normal University in Jilin Province, went to Beijing to appeal in July 2000 and was sentenced to one year of forced labor. In January 2002, after seven months of extended detention in addition to his one-year term, he was sent to the Chaoyanggou Labor Camp in Changchun City for detention. He was tortured to death on July 18, 2003.
(Clearwisdom.net July 29) In May 2003, Dafa practitioner Mr. Tan Chengqiang from Handian Town, Shuangcheng City, Heilongjiang Province was arrested. The perpetrators were the village head and the people from the local "610 Office"*, who sent him to the No. 2 Detention Center. During the detention he was brutally force-fed, which resulted in pleurisy and complications in his lungs. He passed away on July 19, 2003. Following are the details.
