(Clearwisdom.net) August 26th report: On August 23-24, 2003, San Francisco Falun Gong practitioners participated in the annual Oakland Chinatown Street Fair. The practitioners wanted to let more people learn the truth about Falun Gong and call for the rescue of Charles Li. We had photo displays, depicting the wide spread of Falun Dafa around the world and the lawsuit against Jiang. We also prepared many truth-clarifying materials and VCDs in both Chinese and English.

The practitioners noticed that, different from previous years, more people were glad to accept our materials. Many passersby carefully read about the lawsuit against Jiang on our displays and asked for materials on their own initiative. They also expressed that Jiang is indeed very bad. Many people wanted to buy exercise instruction VCDs and Dafa books. Some also asked about the development of the lawsuit against Jiang and the persecution.
A Westerner expressed that he was one of the lawyers prosecuting Beijing official Liu Qi. He especially came to ask for information and materials. He said, "I'm concerned about the lawsuit against Jiang. I also know that the human rights situation in China is bad. I want to know more about Falun Gong and the persecution." He also left his card and expressed that he would like to find another time to talk with us.
On Sunday, August 24, an older man came to our stand in the early morning to ask for materials and sign his name. The practitioners' exercises demonstration won attention and appreciation of many visitors. They said, "Look, they are so peaceful." Some of them wanted to learn the exercises on the spot.
At the end of the street fair, some practitioners helped the sponsor with post-fair activities, which was greatly appreciated.
