BRUSSELS -- Six [practitioners] of the Falun Gong movement submitted a complaint against the former head of state Jiang Zemin and two other members of the government in Brussels yesterday. They accuse the authorities in Beijing of genocide, crimes against humanity and torture of Falun Gong [practitioners]. [Falun Gong] is banned in China. One of the people who submitted the complaint is an inhabitant of Ghent, Matthias Slaats, who was imprisoned in Beijing in February 2002 for two days. It is the first time that such a complaint has been submitted after the recall of the controversial genocide law.
