Facts of the Persecution
1. The Persecution at the Changchun Women's Forced Labor Camp
On November 2, 2004, in Division 3 of the Changchun Women's Forced Labor Camp in Jilin Province, prison guards led by Jin Lihua conducted a so-called assessment test on Dafa practitioners.
The guards ordered the practitioners to copy "standard answers" to a "test," the answers being Dafa-slandering government propaganda. If the practitioners refused to obey, the guards would beat and verbally abuse the practitioners.
During the morning of November 2, the guards shocked practitioner Wang Yumei with electric batons and in the evening they beat her up. They have been torturing Wang Yumei by shocking her with electric batons and beating her, in addition to forcing her to sit on the cement floor daily for over one month. Her face has turned purple from the electric shocks. She started a hunger strike to protest the persecution two days ago.
On November 2, guards Jin Lihua and Zang Li beat practitioner Duan Xiaoming, and guard Sun Jia beat practitioner Li Shuzhen, because the practitioners refused to slander Falun Dafa. Beginning in the afternoon of November 3, guard Sun Jia ordered practitioner Yu Yongjuan to write a report to slander Dafa. Yu Yongjuan refused and was forced to stand for two and a half days. In the afternoon of November 4, Jin Lihua beat and shocked determined practitioners with electric batons. At noon on November 4, Jin Lihua and Division Head Xi Guirong slapped practitioner Zhao Lingling a dozen times on the face and guard Huo Yan shocked Zhao Lingling's hands and legs with an electric baton numerous times.

2. The Persecution of Ms. Wang Yuling
On August 15, 2002, Dafa practitioner Wang Yuling from Dongfeng County, Jilin Province was abducted from Changchun City Temporary Residential Center by perpetrators from Division 1 of the Changchun City Police Department and the No. 2 Criminal Police Division of the Chaoyang District Police Department. The perpetrators tied her to a "Tiger Bench" for nine days and nine nights while beating and kicking her, burning her with fire and shocking her with high-voltage electric batons. She passed out and was later revived at No. 3 Hospital of the University of Medicine, where the doctors performed an emergency procedure, involving the cutting open of a vein. She has been hospitalized for 18 months but her condition is getting worse. Ms. Wang's weight is now down to just over 40 kilos and her hair has turned white, even though she is only in her 40s. She has lost 12 teeth and has a severe heart condition. Wang Yuling is at the brink of death and could die at any moment. Left at home, are her severely ill husband and her mother-in-law who is in her 70s. They have difficulty affording daily expenses.

3. The Persecution of Ms. Liu Dehu
Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Dehu is 63 years old and lives at Paizhouwan, Jiayu, Hubei Province. In August 1999 she went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was illegally arrested. She was sent to the No. 1 Detention Center in Jiayu and held for 23 days. The guards released her after extorting 1,470 yuan from her. The perpetrators monitored and harassed her after her release, which caused great stress to Ms. Liu and her family. In December 2000, Liu Dehu was abducted when distributing truth clarification materials and was sent to a detention center. In the evening, eight guards took turns interrogating her. They beat Liu Dehu because she refused to submit to their unreasonable demands. Later they put her in a prison cell. Liu Dehu went on a hunger strike to protest and was brutally force-fed. She was released after July 15, 2002, and the perpetrators extorted 1,000 yuan from her. They went to her home daily to harass her. Zhao Shouhuai, the head of the county's Political and Security Division is the person responsible for Ms. Liu's abduction.

4. Mr. Chen Guangyuan Abducted
Practitioner Mr. Chen Guangyuan is 55 years old. He lives on the 4th floor of Entrance1, Building 7 in Xujiapeng Dormitory Quarters, Wuchang City. He worked at Wuchang Handkerchief Factory. His parents are elderly, and his mother has been paralyzed for many years and cannot take care of herself. At 10:00 a.m. December 3, 2004, Zhang Lianzhen, Party Secretary of Xujiapeng Residential Community called Chen Guangyuan and told him to attend a community meeting, but he didn't go. About ten minutes later, Chen Baohua, a residential police officer from Xujiapeng Police Station and Zhang Lianzhen went to Chen Guangyuan's home and said to him, "The central government will have a conference in December. You should not leave home or contact anyone so that you won't be influenced and invited to go to Beijing [to appeal for Falun Dafa]. Don't make any trouble for us." At 4:50 p.m., a male and a female officer from the Community Party Committee went to Chen Guangyuan's home and told him to go with them "to fill out a form." Chen Guangyuan left with them and never returned. Four years ago, police officer Chen Baohua deceived Chen Guangyuan the same way and illegally sentenced him to four years in prison.

5. The Persecution of Ms. Zou Zhujiao
My name is Zou Zhujiao; I am a 56-year-old woman. I live at the residential compound of the No. 4 Geology Team at Xianning Hot Spring in Hubei Province. I used to suffer from over a dozen illnesses, all of which disappeared after I started practicing Falun Gong. In October 1999, I went to Beijing to appeal. The perpetrators detained me for 15 days and fined me. Later, they illegally sentenced me to three years and one month in prison. The TV broadcast Dafa-slandering propaganda, so I stepped forward and spoke the truth. The perpetrators extorted 2,800 yuan from me. They illegally detained, interrogated and fined me. I have been practicing Falun Gong for ten years. My Teacher has never asked for any money from me, not even one cent, while Jiang's group extorted over 10,000 yuan from me and my family and they harassed me and followed me, even when I visited my family and friends.

6. The Criminal Behavior of Zhao Shuang, Head of Division 5 at Changlinzi Labor Camp
Zhao Shuang, the head of Division 5 at Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, has persecuted the illegally-detained Falun Gong practitioners for a long time. He would drink alcohol every time he was on duty and always made trouble after he became drunk. He shocked the practitioners with electric batons, beat and kicked them, tied them in metal chairs and detained them in solitary confinement. He also verbally abused the practitioners and acted extremely indecently. In addition, he forced the practitioners to work overtime, making toothpicks from 5:30 a.m. until around 10:00 p.m. each day.

7. The Persecution in Huazi Prison, Liaoning Province
Huazi Prison in Liaoning Province is also called Liaoyang No. 1 Prison. It is located in Huazi Town, Dengta, Liaoyang City. Dozens of Dafa practitioners are being held at Division 3 of the prison. The guards were afraid of the practitioners reading Master Li's articles, so they searched the practitioners' family members when they came to visit. The persecution at the prison has escalated, and family visits are no longer allowed. On August 27, 2004, the guards found Master's articles carried by practitioner Liu Hongchang's mother. They put Liu Hongchang in solitary confinement and forbade his mother from visiting him in the future.
In the summer of 2004, practitioner Cao Yang read one of Master's new writings and announced that his "reform" [extorted under torture and brainwashing] was void. On July 19, 2004 he was detained in solitary confinement and was held there for over two months. Later Mr. Cao's sentence was extended by two years.
